Re: The Official September 2016 Study Group - WELCOME JUNE WAITERS
Going to go to the library and start photocopying a bunch of 15+ LR questions tomorrow.
I need to start photocopying RC too considering how much I scribble on passages / questions, but I still have to decide how to deal with the fact that they're two pages for a passage. (Staples? Giant paper? )

I'm definitely going to start doing these PTs more often. I'm noticing I have an attention span of a fruit-fly, also tend to get nervous, etc. Hopefully with more practice that will subside. I might try things like shooting for 30 min a section on repeats or doing 6 sections, I dunno.
Nice Job, Alexandros! That is what I like to see

I love doing well, because it is definitely positive reinforcement to keep going

Yeah, but I'd seen many of the questions before. Actual PT, as in one where I haven't seen any of the questions.Replitz wrote:Did you time yourself for the 179? Worked yesterday then was forced to hangout with my SO, so no real prep. Ended up falling asleep on the couch at 9pm, I guess i'm getting old
Figured i could make up for it by getting up early and grinding away all morning in starbucks. Wish me luck.
Also, how much black coffee is too much black coffee?....Asking for a friend

Did some LR drilling. Taking a break to yell at the pokemon go servers. They're the worst, but it's probably for the best.

What's funny is that I dreamed I slept through the JUNE LSAT, and then I was like "OK it's fine now I just have to do well in September..." Haha

I was thinking today about all of the worst things that could happen to my score, and I thought of it.
The first presidential debate is scheduled for the night before the test. I am 100% sure I would say fuck my score and watch the debate. haha

TRIPLE POST (I know, it's ok, I hate me too)
What's the sentiment about writing "Why X" statements for schools you have very few ties to? Like, I'm considering writing Why Cornell and Why Chicago with a subtext of "Please give me monies" but I have literally 0 ties to NYC/Cornell, and the only tie I have to Chicago is that my SO is from the midwest.

why a why Cornell? no one really writes those unless they are under the medians (I think). there's a section in their app that states "why do you want to attend cornell (2-3 sentences).SweetTort wrote:TRIPLE POST (I know, it's ok, I hate me too)

Oh. I was worried about YP/not getting monies (assuming the LSAT goes well).

Oh, that would be terrible, esp because of the time difference for me. It won't be on a Friday though, so I think we're safe.SweetTort wrote:I was thinking today about all of the worst things that could happen to my score, and I thought of it.

So..... i just took pt 26 untimed. Didn't feel like i took too much time on any section and i seem to have a good pace on the test regardless, but still untimed.
175.
LG: -2
LR: -5 overall ( back to back sections)
RC: -1
Highest i've ever scored on a PT by 2 points. Really just needed to tell someone. Getting really excited to move on to timed 5 section PT's soon and really begin the grind.
LSAT is love, LSAT is life
