Very minimal notations, unless there are only two choices left and I had to prove one of them wrong. I'm easily distracted so notating stuffs doesn't help me. Will let you know if this trend of doing well in RC continues or if it stops soon.

Well, shit, there goes my claim to highest pt score in the thread. Major congrats, and how the hell did you score that high on that RC (the one with adam smith)?
Econ major! Though my mistake was from that passage

Whoever said knowing or not knowing the passage's topic does not really affect your score is clearly lying. I'm jealous of the science-y people.

Did PT71 today, apparently I'm joining the 169 club.
LR1: -3
LG: -4
LR2: -5
RC: -3
RC experimental 59: -5
I found the LG to be tricky with all the EXCEPT questions, and 2 rule substitution questions. The weird thing about this is that I got 1 wrong in each game... never happened like that before. I'll watch the 7sage explanations and re-do these a couple of times.

Great job on that RC! Out of curiosity, how much reviewing of these tests are you planning on? Trying to figure out a reasonable number of tests to take and how much others plan on reviewing in the next couple weeks.

Just took PT 78 (June 2016). I've been drilling and working hard in my Blueprint class, struggling to break through into the 170s (getting 168-169).
LR 1: -1
LG: -2
LR 2: -1
RC: -2
174! I'm really stoked on the confidence boost and to have broken through that 170 ceiling. Has anyone else taken this test? I found RC to be really hard, LG on the more straightforward side (which is good for me since it's a weaker area), and LR to be sort of mixed. LR mostly wasn't too bad, but it took me more time than usual.

I'll be doing PT C2 Saturday and probably some drilling Sunday. I'm debating whether or not to score and review my last PT. On one hand if I do well it will be a confidence boost, and I will be able to review any mistakes for last minute corrections. On the other, if I bomb it and get something mid/low 160s I'll probably be a wreck going into the test. It might depend on how well I do on PT 80 which I'll be taking earlier in the week. If I rock that I probably won't grade C2 and will just use it as a simulation.

PT 67 checking in.
Score: 172
RC: -2
LR1: -1
LG: -2 (on the easy ones, too... arghhhhh!!!)
LR2: -3
All in all, I feel okay. I was feeling really confident during the test so I was hoping for a 175+ but alas, I'll leave that to you goat-sacrificers. 19 days to go!

PT 65 today
-13 (ouch)
171 scaled
88 raw
LR1: -2 (changed one of my answers just before time called...to the wrong AC)
LG: -1 (misread)
RC: -7 F*** RC. seriously. b2b tests with my worst ever RC performance. not totally sure what's happening.
LR2: -3 (again changed one of my ACs from right to wrong just before time called.)
I am very sick and haven't been able to do much outside of work and try to sleep since Sunday. Pleasantly surprised to stay >170 even when I'm super under the weather, but pissed at my performance on RC.

Not yet, and congrats on the score (on one of the most recent PT's no less)! In terms of RC's difficulty, how does it compare to the 60s and 70s?

I did 21 PTs in the last 26 days, and I'm going to do 17 PTs in the 60-80 range before test day... I'm with you bro!
That will come with a strong physical preparation: for 10 days before the test I'll wake up at 6:30 (as I'll do on test day), I'll go out for breakfast, I'll eat the same thing that I will eat that morning, I will start PTs at 9-9:30, like on test day.
Moreover, I just found out an additional workout: I'm going back and reprinting every LR question or RC-LG where I got an answer wrong. I will go to a very chaotic bar and I'll do them again, during the afternoons. It should help me in both focusing on what I got wrong and stay focused no matter what's around.
Damn. How did that work out for you? Were you consistent in your score range? Are you doing 5 section tests?
Consistency is what I'm trying to improve, but I am averaging between 169 and 170. However, yesterday I got a 162 on PT60. It just seemed so hard to me and I made -11 on RC (

). Let's wait some more test to see if it was just a bad day (I believe so). I am not doing 5 sections because of time, but I'll do it for the last 10ish PTs!

I'm one of those terrible RC people (-6 average), and I got -1 (the only time I've ever scored better than -3) on the RC in PT 78, for whatever it's worth.

Think I finally figured out why I've been struggling with RC after doing a fair bit of drilling. For me at least, I have to reference the passage constantly to do well. I've been hovering around-3/-4 and last time around I got down to -1/-2

Thanks, I think it was a bit of a perfect storm for me, given the more straightforward LG section. For RC, I thought the first passage was pretty straightforward, and the last was ok, although I was rushed and it was technical subject matter. The middle two were in my estimation quite challenging, with one being exceptionally so given the time crunch. I looked at the forums and people definitely felt similarly, many struggled most with RC. I haven't taken all of the 60s, but I do generally think that RC has gotten harder, which there seems to be some consensus about.

In Boston for the weekend. Think I'm gonna take a PT in the Harvard Law Library on Saturday for added motivation.

Took June '15 yesterday
LR1: -4
LR2: -2
LG: -4 (Ended up in a time crunch on the last game, yet again. Gotta keep drilling)
RC: -3
87 Raw, 168 Scaled.
I plan alternating between LG drills and a whole lot of séances before June 12 to get that 170.
I'm thinking of throwing a hail mary, and buying the LG Bible to work through over the next eighteen days. Is this possible, or even potentially productive? I am confident that I can clean some things up in my LR and RC sections, but I think I need a supplement to the Testmasters methods for LG.

I disagree with this as a universal rule. Doing daily PT's gave me the greatest increases in performance. Everybody is different, and for some consistent practice tests are king. Also, if he is scoring 100%, review does not take all that long. When I do a PT, there is never more than 15 questions I will look at.

he's saying he has to keep going back to the passage a lot.
I think referencing back as much as possible if you have the time is a great strategy.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
