Yeah, I feel the opposite of what everyone thinks. LR in the pre-20's I feel like is a bit more difficult than modern LR, as opposed to what everyone says. I also hate the double questions for 1 stimulus thing. I mean I guess it saves some time because you read 1 stim for 2 questions but personally I think it's slightly annoying lol. This may be just because I'm not used to it though, idk.proteinshake wrote:also, does anyone else find the older LR sections to be way weird compared to modern LR sections?

That's definitely what I've noticed.ngogirl12 wrote:You know sometimes when you sleep more than usual your brain gets sluggish and tired and actually works SLOWER than usual. Well that's been my experience lol and I read an article about it once.Alexandros wrote:holy shit, woke up past 11am completely zonked out. And really hungry, with no food.
Not doing well on these LR questions at all. Welp, time to go to the grocery store and make another pot of coffee.
(@ brain - why are you doing this?? you got 10 hours of sleep and don't have to go to work. ??? )
I think you're supposed to get between 7-9 hours daily. I need to work on this.
Last night I went to sleep at 1:30am then I woke up at 4:30am and couldn't sleep until 6:30am. I forced myself to sleep (I woke up at 10am today![]()

) but I wanted to be somewhat productive so I made sure I got some sleep in..

Ugh that sounds super unpleasant. fragmented sleep is no fun, even if it totals to an okay amount

May see a movie tonight to give my brain a break. Any recommendations? I don't really see them any more.
[AKA no super intense plots...a friend criticized me once for being too lazy to see a movie... I fully contend that you can be too lazy for a movie if it is long and has an involved plot.]

Hmmm. Do you think they are more hard..or less hard? or just different? I've often wondered. The only newer test I've taken in PT 62 which was my diagnostic.

I second this. I haven't gone back to look at the older (1-20ish) LR sections in a while, but when I did they seemed a lot harder to me. But considering that I was looking at them when I barely knew much about the test, idk how different my viewpoint would be now. But in general, I do think they're harder.proteinshake wrote: I think the old ones are harder

yes, they are different with slightly more emphasis on formal logic. sometimes they have really weird questions e.g. the one about someone taking a picture looking into the mirror.proteinshake wrote:just scored an LR section from PT 25 and went -1 but I saw 3 questions before, and they were ones which were tricky so I'm not taking this at face value.

i don't think they are more difficult than newer, my lr scores on older tests are better than on newer.

Well that is good to hear. I'm glad that I am practicing on the harder ones by using the Cambridge Packets w/ PTs 1-38.

I can only rewatch The League and Silicon Valley so much.
Granted, I can never see this scene too many times.

Went -0 and -1 on two LR sections, but I'd seen a few of the questions before, and timing wasn't great - shot for 30 and took 32. I hope this is a sign of some progress anyways...
Going to go buy some HB pencils, do some RC and LG drills, then hit PT 32 in the evening (for an undoubtedly inflated score... w/e I'm too zonked out for a real PT rn

David Spade? Sign me up. I kind of adore him... he's like a really guilty pleasure. Kind of like Pitbull. I know that I shouldn't care for either of them, but I kinda do. Also, Rules of Engagement > HIMYM {not that they're the same but they were semi-concurrent sitcoms AFAIK}TheMikey wrote:Ok hmm Netflix. Honestly, I've been writing so much between LR, LG, RC and such, that I am literally shocked at how fast I am going through pencils...granted it's primarily from misplacing them.Alexandros wrote:Went -0 and -1 on two LR sections, but I'd seen a few of the questions before, and timing wasn't great - shot for 30 and took 32. Anyone have a spreadsheet they made to allow to track time / numbers right / wrong on games? I was thinking about making one, but, if someone has one, I'd gladly see if I can improve it!
I am fairly good with Excel... main thing that'd be super cool is if the like list of games was already in there... kind of like database almost [if so, I can probably make it pretty nifty and automatic!]... I may actually do this for LR. I was already typing up all of my explanations and since I was on autopilot, I typed up the stimulus and choices. I was considering basically making it so I could have it spit a random question that I've missed out at me.

I feel like I shouldn't admit it, but, yeah, New Girl is pretty great. Rules of Engagement gets really funny once they introduce the Timmy character. I forget when that was...his relationship with David Spade's character is pretty great...TheMikey wrote:Lmao. I've never seen ROE but I love HIMYM. Just took PT 46.
I got slapped around by that last RC passage.
RC: -6
LR: -3
LR: -3
LG: -3
Score: 165
Was a little squeezed for time on the last LG question - had to do some brute forcing.
Still feel good about this LSAT - handled the "hard things" other than that RC passage.

I did that for LG but just 29 - 38, LGB games and a couple of miscellaneous other ones. I think I need to get back to spreadsheet life with PTs and such.
