There's a local brewery in Boston that has a beer hall attached to its factory and they make pretzels out of...I don't remember what it's called...the leftover grain from after the beer is made.
It's so good. And they have all these gourmet-as-fuck dipping sauces
Maybe I should go there after the test
their pretzels are DANK
And yes I was the shameless person who ruthlessly took advantage of the tasting session
I realized that I like brewery tours minus the actual tour. Kind of DGAF about the beer making process.
So basically, I just like beer.

Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
Hmm sure! Most of this might be super obvious though:
1) Get all your shit (ticket, photo, pencils, snack, what time you're leaving, how you're getting to the test center, what you're doing for a warm up) ready to go/figured out the day before. No need to add any stress by figuring stuff like that out last minute.
2) End all studying by like noon the day before. The rest of that day, just chill and do something fun/easy like watch shows. Exercise too.
3) Make sure you get plenty of sleeps.
4) Be fucking confident. Know that you've studied your ass off for this thing and that you will do great. Don't just hope that you will do well, KNOW that you ARE doing well. Also be relaxed and focused.
5) Maybe like today or tomorrow, write up a quick word document with what your various strategies are. Don't make it too crazy (like a page max), but have shit for each level of the test (i.e. overall strategies like what you plan on doing if you get stuck as well as section specific strategies like how you tackle each LR question). It would have been better to write this up like a month ago, so just make it brief and broad, yet still useful.

I think 5 is an interesting one. I should do that. I think I'm also going to flip through the Trainer this weekend to refresh on strategies and soak in his mindset and approach one more time. It's been a while since I've hit that book.

#14 (why answer is A & not D)
#24 (why answer is A & not E)
#24:
Choice E is just irrelevant. It doesn't matter what people know compared to what reality is. The argument is about public perception of tariffs and how that perception will effect voting. Maybe tariffs are the best damn thing in the world for the majority of the population; if the population *thinks* that tariffs are negative and votes accordingly, that is what matters to a politician trying to get elected.
For answer choice A, think about single-issue voters or labor unions or farmers associations in elections. Such people are likely to be VERY IMPASSIONED about a single issue (abortion, minimum wage, social security, etc etc) and vote ONLY based on a single issue or narrow cluster of issues. So they are more likely to base their entire vote on 1 issue, in this case tariffs. Maybe they're really organized and can mobilize other voters to do the same.
Compare these people to the general population. Maybe people have mild opinions about tariffs. Maybe they kind of think they're bad but don't really know and don't really care. Tariffs are probably not going to have a massive effect on which politician they vote for.
The argument assumes that proponents of tariffs are not way going to be way more ardent about this issue than the general population.
Does that make sense at all? I got too lazy to refine my explanation further heh...

#14 (why answer is A & not D)
#24 (why answer is A & not E)
Going to try to take a crack at this.
For number 14, the fallacy appears to be exclusivity. Even though certain companies may not comply with regulations that doesn't mean halting their entire industry is the answer. Perhaps we could educate people on which fish are more likely to have pollutants and to avoid those fish. Or perhaps we could incentivize companies to stop producing those pollutants that are linked to cancer through a tax break.
I assume this is where we get down to answer A and D. The problem I see with D is how broad it is. D never specifies whether the industries that would voluntarily decrease pollutants are the industries that the stimulus refers to or whether the pollutants they would decrease are the ones that the stimulus says are linked to cancer. Maybe industries would voluntarily decrease their pollutants, but if they're not the pollutants linked to cancer it does nothing to help our argument.
For number 24, E I believe is incorrect because it doesn't link to the argument. If people who are hurt by tariffs know they are hurt by them this still has no implications on their voting. You would have to assume that because they know tariffs hurt them that that in turn would reflect in their voting and that would be adding another assumption to the argument. For all we know, they could know that tariffs hurt them and simply not care.
Answer A basically says that supporters of tariffs aren't WAY more likely to let this one tariff policy dictate their vote than are people who are against tariffs. If 51% of people opposed tariffs and 49% of people supported tariffs but those that support tariffs are only going to vote based on that single issue and those that oppose tariffs may choose to consider stances on immigration, healthcare, foreign policy, etc. then the politician who supports tariffs would have a more likely chance at winning. Answer A assures us that isn't the case.
I hope this helps. My reasoning may be a little off but that's how I reasoned those two questions.

Okay this makes sense, but for #24 I guess I'm still having trouble seeing how that is necessary... Couldn't the supporters of tariffs still base their vote on the politician's stance on tariffs and the politician still be reelected? Since MOST people still are opponents of the tariffs and would vote for the politician that opposed it. So the politician wouldn't need any votes from the tariff supporters anyway..
I know I'm missing something here! haha I'm sorry please feel free to keep trying to explain this to me
