Sorry, it's a retake baseline. I mentioned it in a previous post, but I'm using Noodly's re-take plan. Gonna bust through Manhattan's guides to see if I can pick up any helpful strategies, and drill heavily, while taking 2 PTs a week. I got a 171 in October, and I'm hoping to get into the upper 170s-180 in June. For LG, the guide is only going to be used to see if there are any tips worth using. For LR and RC, I don't have much of a strategy right now beyond underlining things as I go along, so I'm looking to improve upon that.

I need more LR drilling but I feel pretty confident after a lackluster performance on the PT45 LG section. Today, I did PT44 LG and got just one wrong (out of 22 questions) with four minutes to spare.

I take it as long as I get one or two wrong on logic games, that has to get me at least a shot at 160 diagnostic in a few days. My RC was pretty good when I did my last diagnostic in December.

LR sucks.

Feeling pretty good, as I thought I was going to get mid ~150s or low ~160s. Planning to take a PT every Friday, Sunday, and Wednesday until June 10, starting this upcoming Friday (April 5th). Studying with PowerScore Bibles, Manhattan LSAT, and 30 practice tests. Hoping to score 174-180 on the actual test.

I took my first diagnostic test back in early January and having only taken one since. I have been extremely busy, and now have plenty of time carved out to study. Between now and June 10th I plan on taking every prep test that is available. I have already purchased a majority of them.

My last prep test, which I took as a diagnostic for my prep course I just started was as follows:

December 2008, Prep Test 56
LG: -13
LR: -5
LR: -4
RC: -5

Raw: 73
Score: 159

Obviously I need work on the logic games section, Prep Test 56 had 3 grouping games and I have not yet studied them. I feel fairly confident that I can get my LR and RC down to -1 or -2 with a little bit of study. I am stressed out beyond belief! I will be working like a madman over the next couple of months to ensure I achieve the score I need/desire.

Hopefully this forum will be a good tool to help keep things in perspective and prevent me from becoming consumed with stress.

Anybody notice this as well? I don't know if the early ones are necessarily much harder (even though the curves were unbelievable then), as much as my brain is wired to do recent LG's and there are subtle differences in the earlier ones.

I remember reading somewhere that LSAC made LG easier over the last decade or so, but I'm not sure where I heard that.

Looking to focus these next 7 days on Assumption questions, then flaw questions, then weaken and strengthen questions, then parallel reasoning questions.. these are all the "assumption" family questions from Manhattan. I think this is my real weakness, not anticipating enough before going to the answer choices.

I believe those 5-6 categories, I will do every single problem from the Cambridge set of 1-20 and 21-40. Hoping to take a PT Saturday or Sunday.

Been taking it easy today. Planning on doing another PT40-something LG section. If I do well tonight, tomorrow I'll focus entirely on RC and likely will do RC through next week.

just remembered a tip i used last year for LR sections. so like many people, i had a very difficult time getting into my groove when i started a PT. i kept making stupid errors in the beginning of the section because i wasnt focused then by the time i got to the end, i didnt have the ability to focus and nail the difficult questions. i decided to start LR sections at the end and work backward til about Q#15. then i'd hit up Q#1 and finish up the section in about 27-28 mins with very high success rates

This is my highest score yet and only the third time I have scored in the 170's. I took about three weeks off from PT's and just drilled, it looks like it paid off. I still need to work on timing for LR and RC but my RC has improved so much I can't complain. Overall, I was very happy. The LR PS Bible helped me a lot but drilling did even more.

P.S. If someone can explain why the answer to LR1 question 12 is C i would be very grateful. I can't see it for the live of me. When I first saw answer choice "C" I thought it was an opposite answer. Let me know if anyone figures it out.

im taking my first PT since my February's LSAT. After nearly finishing the MLSAT LR book, and drilling nearly every category of question. Im going to be taking PT 46 with an extra RC section from PT 19. Ill update you guys how I'm doing and what i need to focus on in the upcoming 2 months.

How do you recommend i review my PT once i finish it? I planned on taking it timed, then retaking it untimed then looking up the answers then going over every question that I got wrong, or was unsure about. I plan on going over them by typing up the question and the answer choices as well as reasons why each answer is either wrong or right.

Any suggestions?

It was a missed inference. It was question 14. I didn't connect the contrapositives in a chain. Silly mistake. I finished with 6 min left so i should have thought to go back but I thought I got them all right.

Hey everyone, I've been slowed down considerably in my study up until the last week, but wanted to post here to get some input on my progress. I've been going through the PS LG Bible and just finished the chapter on linear games. I did 6 practice games of varying difficult and got anywhere from -0 on the easy ones to -3, but my average was probably about -2. Is that a realistic spot to be at after only going through this chapter or should I be getting more right than I am?
