Alex is set up currently for Y down imo, so he ain't so splitzville.
Maybe in 2020 after a batch or two have made it through graduation and we have numbers that we can look at we would have a GMAT/GRE relationship. But it is easy af to get into those MBA schools opposed to LS right? Wonder if we will see that trend.

It's easier to hit the right numbers for an MBA. It's harder to get into an MBA with the right numbers. I don't know if LS will go totally the way of MBA. LS is far more cerebral and demanding than MBAs. I met up with a girl who TAs some of the grad finance sections at Cornell. She said the law students blew the MBAs away, and Johnson/Cornell Law are similarly ranked.

I mean if I was CLS admin/adcomm person I wouldn't be into this at all. CLS scoops up the soft splitters. If GRE comes into the game, GPA becomes more important, LSAT becomes less important, suddenly they don't look great numbers-wise compared to their peers (ie Chicago). I mean both are excellent but there's a major difference between a 1/100 score and a 1/5000 score and the GRE hardly differentiates at that level. I feel like that's a major issue.

If GPA becomes more important, do you think they'll start taking academic institution, course rigor, grade inflation, etc. into more serious consideration? I mean, I know schools that don't give out A+s, and I know other schools where anything 80+ is an A+. How do you control for that?

(My UGPA would be well over 3.9, if not over 4.0, if my shitty UG gave out A+s. As it is I'm below not even 3.8 and below medians almost everywhere.)

so stupid if true. It is not UG admissions, post undergrad you are really limited in what you can do for softs. I got lucky with the WE but that not going to be enough in this post gre admissions world. The LSAT is the great equalizer. Everyone has access to the same books and can study as long as they want to, the only things I'd chance is test accessibility , dates, grading not taking 1.5 months and a few other trivial things like that. The test itself is black and white, you do well or don't. call me a salty splitter I guess.

My one/two points of unsolicited advice would be to 1) look up how long scores are accepted for at certain LSs, and 2) Prioritize being certain that law is what you want to do with your life.

I say this as someone who took September of Junior year with extremely similar reasoning. If you perform well, the LSAT becomes a bit of a ticking time bomb, and may discourage you from getting WE or fully exploring other options post-UG if you decide you want to. That said, I have few things to complain about wrt LSAT - But those are a few things I definitely didn't really fully consider at the time. (ETA: Not to suggest you didn't consider those factors obviously - just to say that I didn't, cos I was a dumb dumb.)
