It's so crazy! My friend is supposed to leave for Turkey on a Fulbright next month, I sent her a snapshot of the NYTimes article.. I was doing a summer internship in Egypt in 2013 when the military coup happened.. It's like that madness all over again!!
Now there's a good PS topic. I can't even imagine what it must have been like

I think a really important thing about circular games that I didn't know is that it doesn't matter which order you put two elements. for example, if a rule says "L is next to M," it doesn't matter if you place this "LM" or "ML." just did the circular game from PT 1 and finished in 6:38, much faster than the first time I did this because I thought the ordering mattered!

So, my job starts in 2 weeks and I'll only have an hour or two a day to study from then on out, barring the occasional free Saturday.

I'm considering printing off the first 10-15 LSATs I took (roughly a year ago), and then drilling the RC and LG of each of these. I want to make sure I have the new tests down to a science, and I don't think I'll be able to do this by taking full length practice tests.

Thoughts?

I'm going to submit a question to TM, but anyone have opinions on the following

June 1998 Passage 3? [#14-21]
[+] Spoiler
#15 - how the heck were we supposed to get this one right without guessing? Is it one of these cases where (A) basically includes (B) and that (B) is too narrow? I should have bothered thinking it through more rather than just saying, screw it and pick one.

#18 - Between B & E...felt conflicted...I did not feel that skeptical was strong enough to describe the author's view and discomfort was better, but I felt that the latter half of [E] is more accurate than that of .

How could one focus? That's a good Why Columbia statement...... 'Amal is my dream woman, and, if you do anything to come in between me and that dream, you will rue the day you crossed me.'

I founded out about it via college friends' fb statuses before the major news sources had it front page, and they didn't bother to specify their location. My initial response was looking out the window going WTF.

For realz though, hope everyone is ok, especially if any of you happen to be in Turkey. Crazy shit.

Good idea, I plan on redoing all the RC and LG for even the newer tests so 39-77. So, yes, good plan.

Haha, I'm actually not even considering using it.. Didn't think about going that route, but maybe I should!

Beyond insanity, being on constant lockdown, not knowing who to trust, everyone telling me to go back to Italy (I did my master's there), my mom freaking out constantly, military curfew, I'm part Arab though so I didn't have a problem looking foreign, let's just say I think everyone living there at that time went through a mild form of PTSD if they weren't directly involved in the protests..
Where in Italy? The BO? The BO is the best.

Because I haven't been able to focus since I found out about Turkey, I looked up the Fulbright countries.. and, yes Turkey is still listed under Eurasia. I can't imagine it would still be an option though if things go haywire.

http://us.fulbrightonline.org/countries ... dregion/21

I think Greece would be interesting too because of the refugee situation there and their issues with economics/EU etc.

The only interesting Arab countries are Jordan, Bahrain, and Egypt. I would not go with Egypt because it's getting worse and worse. Now, young boys are disappearing from their homes similar to what happened in Argentina in the 1980s. Bahrain could be interesting because they had an uprising when the Arab spring happened but its relatively stable.

k I'm gonna take a break from Turkey and TLS now and get back to the LSAT.

Gonna drill RC for the next hour or two.
(although every time I spend more than 30 minutes away from the world wide web something major happens, so we'll see :? )

The BO?

Roma!!! My friends and I traveled in Italia and Europe in our free time, but Italy is such a big country so I didn't get to see everything. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Best year and a half of my life!
Oh - awesome. The BO = Bologna... the almost papal state... it's kind of interesting... most medieval churches [and modern too I assume] are shaped like crosses, but, because of riots, this one is missing one of the shorter arms...they ran out of money so it they just stopped building the last 10-20 feet of it... or something somewhat silly seeming.

Anyone have recommendations on roughly how long to aim per passage? I know that it will vary based on areas of strength content wise and difficulties of passage, but, let's say for the following # questions...

5/6 - 7-8 minutes?
7/8 - 8-10 minutes?

I'm of the mindset that RC there's no real benefit of going back between passages.

So far today...

50 LR Strengthen... done and reviewed.

LSAT........Passage....Time...R/W.....Notes:
Jun-91.....1............9:00....8/8.....none
Jun-98.....3...........10:00....6/8.....stupid mistakes / lazy
Oct-92.....2.............8:00...5/6.....stupid mistakes / lazy
Oct-05.....1.............9:00...5/5.....none
Jun-97.....1.............9:30...8/8.....none
Oct-03.....2............10:00...6/7.....stupid mistake/kind of dumb

Done and reviewed in one constant sitting. Wasn't going for a set time on any passage... more just working through somewhat quickly without having to rely on guessing and running a timer in the background that I would check after finishing. Going to try to hammer out a few more tonight...

Maybe some untimed games for perfect set up if I get too tired to read under time constraints after dinner.

edit: is there a reason that forums hate tabs?

Bloody hell. Third passage on 36.2 (Dec '01) on vasopressin and osmoregulation :x :x :x
I'm realizing that the questions weren't really that difficult. The passage was really dense, but completely understanding what it's saying isn't that necessary.
Def need to drill more difficult science RC though, jfc. Something like that would throw me completely off on a real test.

Bright note - on the two RC sections I just did, both done once at least a month and a half ago, -0 at 28min, and -1 at 32 min. Not great and obv very inflated but mostly ok.

Just ordered a print job for every RC and LG passage I've ever taken on a PT, 2 copies.

Bring it, September.

So my girlfriend surprised me and bought me a 180 watch.

So much better than my Perfect Score one. It is literally a legal stopwatch. Way nicer and easier to use than the Perfect Score one. I was skeptical at first, because I didn't want to spend the $60, but a free gift? I'll take it!

I certainly will! She heard me mentioning it and the Perfect Score's adjustment pin is nearly impossible to get out. I thought it was because my nails were a bit short, and I was having trouble getting a grip on it. But time after time, it took me like 20-30 seconds to reset the time after a section.

I just checked it out real quick, and it is a stop watch that somehow is legal for the lsat. Just push a button and BAM it starts/stops. And the other button resets the time automatically.

I'll definitely let you guys know how it is when I actually use it for a real PT.

yeah the automatic reset function is why I really want it, don't have to worry about setting it manually and worrying if it's right on the 0 spot lol
