Ok, I just went through a bunch of games on 7sage, because despite what

thinks, my soul has already been sucked out of me. Trying to figure out if there's any precident for game 4. Turns out, nope, there's not. Some of these games had elements that were almost kind of similar, but nothing quite gets close:

PT 9 game 3
PT 10 game 3
PT 11 game 4
PT 12 game 4
PT 16 game 4
PT 68 game 4
PT 72 game 4
PT 77 game 3

Decent list, I remember a few of these. TBH, I think the more recent trend in the strange games is to create games that are as different as can be from previous ones, but still staying within staying somewhat in the general parameters.

It's probably just to prevent games from being -0'd by 90 of the people scoring 165+. From their perspective I can see that value in doing that. Like what does LG test if you can just memorize different forms? I think it's supposed to test your ability to make inferences and understand abstract situations, and I think the new strange games make you think the way they want you to think. As J.Y. keeps pointing out, you can still learn the games and gain a huge advantage from studying games, when you apply your skills to the first couple games of the set or so. Like I did both 1/2 in 12 minutes total did g3 in like 11/12 and then had a ton of time to figure out G4 and that worked out for me pretty well I think.

True. I finished and double checked answers for 1 and 2 in 14 minutes. I understand the need to differentiate candidates, but I think the very odd games miss the bar. Take for example the Dinosaur Game from PT57. It was a difficult and time consuming game for most, though it still used the typical in/out set up. In my un-expert, and after doing every single game, some multiple times, the really strange and unique games involve a degree of luck, especially when you are pressed for time. Sometimes you have a flash of intuition of how to quickly/accurately represent the game and sometimes you don't.

I only learned about Stromae after he released Tous les memes. He's definitely good.

I knew him from the Alors on Danse prior to Kanye's takeover. Stromae is really fun and interesting.
