Save it for people with meatier problems (see what I did there?).
LOL at this guy for thinking people still care

Don't judge me but I didn't discover TLS until I left the testing center and I was desperately scrambling to find out which LG section was experimental...quick search and *bloop* here I am. I could've probably used the prep thread more though tbh

Pretty great. Toured campuses on the journey. Drank. Celebrated. Ended a dating thing. Pretty standard.

Having the prep thread less would have helped me. I'm sure you did fine and worst case there's October and December

Random but I have LOR questions. I read the link someone sent when I asked a question about LORs before but it didn't answer these.

1. Is it considered unethical to compensate your recommender for their LOR, i.e. a gift card ? Maybe a weird question but ya know

2. I know you can opt in or out of viewing your LORs on LSAC but is it wrong to request to see the letter they're writing to you via email?

I nominate TheWalkingDebt to automatically receive a 180 for his awesome username. I also rescind my vote in the best tar category, and am now casting it on his avatar.

I was contemplating giving them a gift card after the end of the cycle, but opted not to. You can send a nice "Thank You" card that expresses your sincere gratitude, though.

2. No, it's not wrong. It also depends on whether they want to show them to you, though. One of my professors told me that she has a strict policy that inhibits her from sharing LoRs with students, and she followed through on it. I figured that if they agree to write you a LoR, they are doing it because they will say something good about you.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
