For mine, the advisor listed by LSAC hasn't done it in years but was kind enough to offer advice (170+ and go to the state flagship), the new one was on maternity leave, and the temp replacement thought I was asking for help on the LSAT.mist4bison wrote:My pre-law advisor knew nothing. It also took more than a month to get a Dean's Certification because they had to run it by legal first.

Are dean's certificates required by all schools? Some of the local schools im looking at makes no mention.TheProdigal wrote:For mine, the advisor listed by LSAC hasn't done it in years but was kind enough to offer advice (170+ and go to the state flagship), the new one was on maternity leave, and the temp replacement thought I was asking for help on the LSAT.mist4bison wrote:My pre-law advisor knew nothing. Who's excited for the Democratic primary debate tomorrow? I fantasize every night before bed about Sanders and Clinton going at it. I hope tomorrow delivers.

If well-to-do parents are footing the bill, why not? Can think of other ways I'd like to spend my $$$ than pay for 3+ years of extra tuition thoughMint-Berry_Crunch wrote:I have a buddy that took the 7 year path... Yeah I can't think of any way for 7 years of college to be financially viable, besides having rich parents. If you're not working, that could close in on a MILLION dollars of inescapable debt, and if you are working to pay for it, it's probably some shitty, low-paying job, so why not just finish school and get a real job?EnderWiggin wrote:If well-to-do parents are footing the bill, why not? For me, first four years were free (scholarship), then tuition was only about 5k/year. Worked full-time for the last six years (with on-and-off enrollment).RZ5646 wrote:Yeah I can't think of any way for 7 years of college to be financially viable, besides having rich parents. They're not really great, but palatable when intoxicated. The burgers are like Grade D meat, though. (I don't know if they actually are, but they're comparable to McDonalds).ffamran wrote:Really? I haven't looked into the quality of their meat, but I could eat it every day! I think it's the way they cook it, since I don't really like MvDonalds.mist4bison wrote:They're not really great, but palatable when intoxicated. The burgers are like Grade D meat, though. I wish I could major in picwhoring. I think it'd really prepare me for the rigors of law school.

I had a friend who took almost 10 years. In the middle, he had to go back to his native country to serve the 2 year mandatory military service. Plus he had to go to a couple of CC's because of transferring and stuff.fips tedora wrote:One of my pledge brothers is exactly like this. He went from Computer Engineering to MIS to Physics.
