Re: The Official October 2015 Study Group
I don't really follow the system, just incorporated the bits that felt best to me. Took me from about -3-5 to my current 0-2.

what did you get on games crunch?Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Took 72 today. Forgot how to add for a second and thought I had a 163 and freaked out lol. Ended up with a 170. -5 on RC -8 on LR combined (-2, -6 :0 ). My LR after breaks are consistently worse, so that's a worry. Didn't even finish the second one on time. I thought really struggled with G4 but I was able to get through it (I've done it before).
Semi off day tomorrow so that'll be nice. Reviewing most recent tests and maybe drilling.
My LR scores are scaring the crap out of right now.
I still can't decide which method for LR I'm most comfortable with. If I go 15-25, I feel more relaxed knowing I have the easiest questions with little time left, but I don't really know if my scores were improving. I also don't know if my lowest scores are low because I'm tired, or if I genuinely have a problem :/

72 has a -13 curve, so 0.

ah I see.
Not sure what else to drill reading comp with anymore. .should I just continue to drill sections I've done already? I've seen all of the RC up to PT 72.
Crunch or Prodig.. advice from your 170 perspectives please

how was pt 73?PatriotP74 wrote:Have not done much today besides work, gonna review section 2 of PT 73 from last night. At this point I plan to take maybe 2-3 more PT's between now and test day and drill games. There isn't a ton we can do from here on out, keep looking at weaknesses but no reason to try and crunch 10 pt's in now. I'll take it easy and go into test day relaxed as I can be.
Are we even gonna make it to page 180 by test day? If so we need to get going.

Re: The Official October 2015 Study Group
Eh... I'm the wrong person to ask. I notched a 170 in February without ever opening a RC book or guide beyond the Trainer. (I think a big part of my recent success has been these 14mg nicotine patches). And I've spent less time spread over three takes than most people around these parts do for their first -- I've never had the time to really devote to study full-time, between the kid, MS program, and a full-time job.flash21 wrote:ah I see.

That said, I'd either review older RC sections that you haven't seen in a while, or address specific subject weaknesses.

this was a tough pt. where did you miss in rc?gamerish wrote:PT72
RC: -7
LR1: -2
LR2: -2
LG: -6
167
My worst performance ever on RC and on LG and I'm back down into the 160s less than two weeks before the test. Feels awful.
went -9 in rc for a 166.flash21 wrote: how did it go? I didn't bomb but scored a bit lowerr than usualy. got -12 on games some how. I need to review, I must have had a melt down on one of the games I didnt realize.. I did guess the entire last game but thats only 5-6 questions.
LR was -6 and -4 (forget which one was which)
-12 games
- 7 LR
160 score
