Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
162 on PT 51 (June 2007). The score is 3 points higher than my February score, but consistent with my PT scores leading up to that test. i used the google 7sage proctor as well as a digital timer on my i-phone (my wristwatch needs a battery replacement). I used no experimental section, but of course will incorporate that as I begin taking more PTs.Ambitious1 wrote:Going to take June 2007 today to establish my new baseline as a retaker.. made my lsatqa account.. ready to go! Hope to start Manhattan Interact lessons tomorrow along with heavy drilling
LG: -1
LR1: -2
LR2: -5
RC: -10
Was getting really hungry towards the end, but RC has always been a poor section for me so the score is not surprising. I did a lot better on LR than I anticipated, particularly after going a month and a half without looking at any LSAT related material.
Going to review this tomorrow as well as start the Manhattan Interact lessons. My goals for this week are to finish lesson 1 & 2 of Interact (along with the homework) as well as take one more PT probably at the end of the week. After the next PT I'll hopefully have a better idea of what question types I need to work on in LR and use the Cambridge sets to drill them. Hopefully I can finish most of my drilling (for LR question types and specific RC passages) in April, with a weekly PT. When May comes around, I want to be 90% PT and 10% everything else.

Good job bro. Be sure to thoroughly review all the ones you missed and all the ones you weren't 100% on.itachiuchiha wrote:OMG GOT A -3 +22 FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ON AN LR SECTION PT 40 S1 #IMPROVEMENT

Anyone else taking a course before the June test? I feel like a noob but it was the only way I could install more discipline into my study regimen. I start Blueprint up on Sunday and plan to increase my studies to 30-35 hours a week (Saturdays off) on top of the class which is eight to twelve hours a week. 45 hours of LSAT a week now until June 10.

I took the live online weekend Powerscore one just as a review through the material. I'm going through it myself though.0913djp wrote:Anyone else taking a course before the June test? PT Question: Do you guys do them in any order or do you just pick a random one and do that?

I think the general consensus is to do a mix between 40s 50s and 60s. this way you can have a feel of the newer tests and maybe see some subtle changes. I personally prefer to mix them up just because I want to re-do all the 60s in May. On the side note, I may have to put off LSAT for a few days due to personal issues. Good luck to the rest of you guys. keep grinding.

Hopped back on the PT wagon last night with 51. RC was worse than I would have liked at -7 but much improved.
LR1:-7
RC:-7
LR2:-5
LG:-1
scaled:164
LR slipped a bit due to focusing almost exclusively on RC the past few weeks. Hopefully I'll get this back in order within the next two weeks through PTs and review.

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
I felt that way about two weeks ago, and I took a couple days off, then I took a couple untimed PTs where I wrote the reason for eliminating every wrong answer (except LG), and I got a 173 and a 176. I went over every question after each test to reinforce what went well and figure out what went wrong. Obviously the untimed scores aren't representative, but it got my confidence WAY up. The timed PTs I took since then have gone 169, 171, 170, and before that run my highest score was a 162.natashka85 wrote:Guys I got really tired of LSAT,can't study at this point any more, working and studying burns me,can someone inspire me to move on ?
I know not everyone advocates untimed tests, but knowing that I can get to the right answer made me feel like I was making a lot of progress and motivated me to refine my thought processes and increase my speed.
Also, know that most people who will take the June test haven't started studying yet. You are already waaay ahead of the game. Good luck!!

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
You have 70 days until the test that will determine where you go to law school, and will play a large part in determining where you work and how much money you make and how much flexibility you have in choosing a life and career that you want.natashka85 wrote:Guys I got really tired of LSAT,can't study at this point any more, working and studying burns me,can someone inspire me to move on ?
70 days. In the large scale, that is nothing. Tell yourself that you might have a shitty 70 days ahead- that your social life might suffer, that you might get stressed and annoyed and tired and burnt out. But promise yourself you will push ahead regardless. And you'll look at these 70 days as a necessary burden towards better things.
Not sure if you are in school or if you work or none of the above, but see this as a full-time or second job. Every single point is barely quantifiable. If you can raise your score 1 point from wherever you are, it's worth 70 days.
That's how I'm justifying this to myself, anyway. I'm going to Europe for a week next week and work a full-time job, but otherwise cutting out other commitments in order to study for this thing. I was disappointed with my June 2011 score, and I hope to raise it significantly, but I know that even if I only raise it a few points this is worth it.

Seriously? They're in for a big surprise... I started studying slowly in February, about 10 hours a week, and moved it up to 15 a week in march, now I'm trying to get 20-25 a week (including PT times) and I don't think I've studied enough lolsnapdragon25 wrote: Also, know that most people who will take the June test haven't started studying yet. Been reading the last few pages, good to see everyone progressing. I got myself a big boy job a few weeks ago so the studying has been sporadic, but I did pt about a week ago and got a 171. I may end up pushing back until October if I have to. Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow after I pt and let you guys know how it went. Good luck

Do you like sports?natashka85 wrote:Guys I got really tired of LSAT,can't study at this point any more, working and studying burns me,can someone inspire me to move on ?
I love sports. Sort of treating this like a sporting event. The LSAT prep is my workout time to prepare for the scouting combine (the LSAT). Then getting all my applications together, applying, and hopefully accepted is the draft process. Law school will be the regular season - tough, grueling, a lot of work. The playoffs is finding a job, and the super bowl is getting that dream job.

Since you decided not to take December, and decided not to take February, and now you "can't study at this point" perhaps you need to evaluate your goals.natashka85 wrote:Guys I got really tired of LSAT,can't study at this point any more, working and studying burns me,can someone inspire me to move on ?
If you really want LS, then you need a batch of SUCK IT UPcakes.
Otherwise, move on. It clearly isn't a priority for you.

I'm not a spokesperson for Nike or anything, but Just Do It. I'm a full-time student working a part-time job trying to juggle test prep in as well. I really started cracking down in January, although technically I first started studying last June.MKX wrote:Seriously? They're in for a big surprise... I never even considered starting the game this late. I don't think it's the smartest move to start at this point, unless you plan on taking the October exam.
