Am I the only one who has scored my highest on PTs after an extensive break (a month or so) from even thinking about the LSAT?

No, it happens (I don't know how lol).
Took 3-4 weeks off from LSAT (had some personal things going on). I took a PT on a thursday and scored 175. Took a PT that Saturday and scored 176.
Weird.

This is my 2nd retake though. Became ill the 2nd time so had to cancel.

PT 58 - LR 1 - #24 - BEARS
I can't believe I am posting about THE bear question the day before the LSAT buuut..

Can someone explain why D is incorrect?
Doesn't D imply that pop in preserve nearly doubled but that doesn't mean pop of VALLEY increased because pop outside preserve decreased...meaning they migrated to the preserve.

Or would this NOT weaken because that still says the valley overall could increase (just that it was happening in the preserve area while the nonpreserve area decreased but valleyTOTAL increased?)

This question was one of wording... response D doesn't indicate anything regarding the overall population of bears in the valley as a whole (which the conclusion of the argument regards). Sure, you are right, D implies that the population of the VALLEY *could have* remained constant. The question asks, though, which MOST undermines the argument. E, which asserts that the population of bears in the VALLEY *has* remained constant directly opposes any assertion that the road closure will lead to an increase in bear population overall.

I, myself, have to be careful with questions like these, as often more than one answer COULD undermine the argument, but they ask which undermines it most. Hope this was helpful.

Any suggestions on food to eat tonight/tomorrow morning? I'm trying to bypass coffee tomorrow morning since I nearly had to take a restroom break during Section 3 of the Kaplan practice test Saturday.

Also, how far will they let you take practice problems to "warm up" tomorrow? I'm assuming they won't let you into the classroom with old problems, but can you get signed in and just stand outside the classroom doing practice problems then throw them away and walk in when you can tell they're getting started?

specifically the Chavez/Mexican American Farming passage?

That passage was the only thing that saved me from a complete self-destruct on that PT. I found the other three much more difficult haha

Damn, I just went over them and found:

Chavez-farming to be the most difficult, New Urbanism to be moderately difficult, along with the bee passage, and the only somewhat 8:45 attackable passage to be the Australian contingency-based fee passage.

RC would be so much more manageable if it was 25 questions instead of 27/28.

I did new urbanism in 7:30 and all the rest took ten minutes each(I finished up the section after recording my score).

Ok I have my wooden pencils, pencil sharpener, wrist watch, and LSAC printoff/ticket which I've read in full. Now I just need to get my ziploc bag ready and try to have a question answered: is it against the rules to manipulate your wristwatch so that the long hand on the watch starts at "12" before a section? I didn't see that on the printoff.

I've heard that you shouldn't expect more than 30 seconds. I guess it depends on how fast you are.
