Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
How many practice exams do you think I will need to max out my score ? I think in july i will do like one a week and then aug to the September 16 i will do like 2 a week. That's about 18 exams for my plan but it seems TLS high scorers do 20+ PTs? Any truth to this?
Also since someone mentioned HYS I think my ugrad and Gpa would get me in contigent on a high lsat but I doubt I would ever attend unless I didn't get a substantial scholarship somewhere else in the T-13. I get its HYS but unless I don't have a scholarship from a decent school (fingers crossed for T-13) I wouldn't go bc 300k in loans is like a guarantee at each. Although LIPP would make me really consider a career in public service

Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
There isn't a correlation between more PTs and a higher lSAT score. It varies between each person. I think starting at 1 per week and then moving to 2 per week would be sufficient, so long as you BR properly. Just make sure you get through all of the curriculum of the test before starting timed PTs and BRing. When you're doing 1 PT a week you should BR and then spend the rest of the week drilling specific weaknesses and revisit the relevant material in books/courses.Lalalsat96 wrote:How many practice exams do you think I will need to max out my score ? thanks for the insight!littlewing67 wrote:Ok so talking from personal experience, I studied June-Sept last summer while also working part time as an AmeriCorp. I worked 2 days a week and studied 5 days a week (full time 9-5). I believe I was able to focus 90% of my brain power and concentration of mastering the LSAT and focused my energy into it, while also being able to make something to pay the bills (barely).Mikey wrote:I'm starting to think if my idea of having no job and full time LSAT studying during the summer is the right path or not. It's what I originally intended, but I feel like having at least a part-time to save some money would be good. I have the opportunity to not work and just LSAT study, but I'm not sure what I want to do.
My average for each section is like:
LG: -0 to -2
LR: -0 to -3 per section (total -1 to -6)
RC: lol anywhere from -6 to -13
e: my RC score is from the previous PTs I did at the very beginning of this year. Been slowly improving though by tons of drilling so my avg for RC maybe be better now.
Opinions please! Study full-time in the summer or get a part-time job/part-time LSAT?
Now, comparing that to my situation now where I basically work full time, I find myself being unable to study or focus on studying for the LSAT. After coming home from my "9-5" I feel drained and the last thing I want to do is spend my time studying. Weekends are my one escape from work, so I REALLY dont want to study then either. I found myself too stressed/depressed from work to want to study.
I plan on repeating what I did last summer, and instead of working part time, taking a hiatus to study full time (without working) and instead volunteering doing things I love. I have money saved up from my full time job to help pay the bills, but I honestly think focusing all your energy for those couple of points will reward you in thousands in scholarship and greater opportunities than will the money made from working (full time at least).
So there is my 2 cents

Is blind review essentially going back to questions you guessed on, got wrong or left blank to understand why you don't understand them? I feel like i would end up just looking back in the Powerscore books for guidanceTWiiX wrote:There isn't a correlation between more PTs and a higher lSAT score. It varies between each person. Also do you know if the manhattan lsat rc book is superior to the Powerscore one? I already have the PS book but would willingly pay for a better one with better methods.
Thanks!

I got Nicole Richie and then in the quiz where the two results are meant to be Kim K or Paris Hilton, I got "Surprise, bitch! You’re more Nicole Richie. Why did you even take this? You know you’re neither of these women. As a former friend of both, you’d rather be told you’re a dirty piece of gum on the sidewalk than either of these two. I don't remember how much it was, but it wasn't a bad price. You can tell by the seller name when you go on Amazon if it's some random person selling the book. The seller should be either Amazon or Manhattan.
I have purchased almost all my LSAT prep materials from Amazon and thus far haven't had any problems! Good luck though
