Did you check the powerscore blogs? They had a pretty good list of the questions I now think I missed...in the real questions list.

exactly. nothing to do anyhow now. it seems conventional wisdom is that canceling is silly since you a. don't find out how you actually did under real conditions (which is valuable info I think) and b. majority of schools are going to take your highest score. Therefore despite the fact that I don't know why the god damn teenagers did what they did (Adderall/new love interest)? Or if I drew a cartoon of trump's hair on a dancing building as a set up for the last game, I should still stick it out and not cancel.

Totally with you guys on mood swings based on LR!Tazewell wrote:Anyone feel confident about the cat food question? It's one of the only few that I didn't feel great about but still think I got it right.
Over analyzing each questionable LR answer after the test is almost as taxing as taking the freaking test.

One question that oddly pissed me off on the exam was that question about the french literature and biology class. Anyone else remember that question as being tough?

Yep, was kind of funky for sure. But it lent itself alright to some formal logic, if I recall.ebmus11 wrote:One question that oddly pissed me off on the exam was that question about the french literature and biology class. Anyone else remember that question as being tough?

Hmm. I remember that one as being fairly straightforward on the formal logic. But at this stage I am totally willing to believe that I fell for traps on seemingly easy questions. It has certainly happened before. Me thinking a question is easy vs. hard is no metric for anything really. I've had notoriously difficult questions seem easy while pulling my hair out on questions that were so simple for other people that the Mahattan forums don't even have a thread on them.ebmus11 wrote:One question that oddly pissed me off on the exam was that question about the french literature and biology class. I had two LG. Both were ok, though had one really tough game on both I thought. There was one game that was about folk music in one LG section, the other one I don't even remember. That ring a bell at all?jonny27 wrote:I thought the first three were fine but took me a long time to do the last. How about you?RPlatt85 wrote:Anyone else here from the Sabbath observers crew? Don't recall anything about folk music and I only had one LG, so I assume that was experimental. My LG were about train stations closing down and office floors 1-8. Here's a pretty helpful link, although most of it is me talking – feel free to chime in: https://7sage.com/discussion/#/discussi ... al-vs-realRPlatt85 wrote:I had two LG. Agreed. Had so many different rules and possibilities. It was probably exhaustible, but nowhere near enough time to check when I was doing it.CPA-->JD wrote:I thought that folk game was one of the hardest I've ever seen. Didn't think it was tough but then I found an answer choice that matched my pre phrase. Sometimes those are really tough if u have pre phrase you thought was perfect and it's not an option.ebmus11 wrote:One question that oddly pissed me off on the exam was that question about the french literature and biology class. I fucked up, I was going really fast around that question and for some fucked up reason I mistook it as a different question type than it really was. Otherwise I would've picked the same answer as you. Stupid mistake.Lahtso Nuggin wrote:Didn't think it was tough but then I found an answer choice that matched my pre phrase. Who knows at this point. It's one question right? I feel vaguely uncomfortable while looking at the lair of real lr questions but take comfort that rc, which we all know can totally f you with like zero indicator your wrong, was pretty doable. No crazy questions no tokens, mirrors or fucking lacquer. No question about how the author thinks her left foot smelled like based on how the author of the second passage felt about the issue. So yeah it could've been worseebmus11 wrote: I fucked up, I was going really fast around that question and for some fucked up reason I mistook it as a different question type than it really was. The whole writing sample I had to keep myself from arguing for option 3: open a kitchenless tasting room and invite food trucks. If you want national reach partner with one of the production breweries glutting the market and release a few big batches. Best of both worlds.

Goddammit, you guys keep on bringing up questions I didn't think of after the test, and now remember as giving me pause at the time.
I'm wondering how many more I forgot.
However I'd say that only one of them I really guessed on. The others were at least 50/50.

Re: The Official December 2016 Waiters Group
I got weirdly caught up on two questions in the middle of the second logic game and ended up guessing. My answer just never worked out to any of the options. Otherwise, I thought that game was pretty simple, and now this is making me fear I had a basic inference or rule jotted down wrong and that perhaps I bombed that entire game instead of just those two questions...has something like this ever happened to anyone else?

Guys if there's like an 80% chance I did worse on retake, does it make sense to cancel?

I'd say only cancel when you're 99% sure you bombed it.StopLawying wrote:Guys if there's like an 80% chance I did worse on retake, does it make sense to cancel?
I mean, NYT predicted an 80% chance of a Hillary win the day before the election and look what happened to that.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
