Dear Diary,

GT PM'd me a few months ago and we studied a few times back in November. Strictly business. He was extremely focused and that was nice to study around.

He asked me out on a date post-Dec. test and I said yes. The date went extremely well. The highlight of the evening was changing his Tinder account to interested in men and flirting with men in the area. GT is quite the gentleman and quite the catch!

We tell our parents we met in the library because they don't need to know about our TLS alter-egos.

Alas, GT might be fleeing the country for the Peace Corps or a masters program, so I don't know where this will go. But we've got a pretty good thing going so I think I'll keep him around. I'll spare you the sappy details, Diary.

Wait this is totally off topic. But my mom just told me when she went to check on her investment portfolio, we somehow got an extra $100k usd and we don't know where it came from. She asked the bank and they said they don't know where it's from either.

Since I know next to nothing about Chinese finance (it's not a capitalist country here), and am practically illiterate in Chinese, I just told her to document everything and get the bank to sign off/notarize as much as she can in case the Chinese IRS and SEC come knocking.

ETA - For context, the expected return was $50k, so it's not some blip. It's all in a contract, it's a fixed rate mutual-fund ish type of thing. Now the return is $150k. Is the Chinese FBI gonna come knocking soon?
