Best of luck this weekend guys, you're gonna crush it. Wish I had gotten ready in time for this one instead of September/December.

And APB for all June 2016 test takers, don't be confused (e.g., Jeeves), the test is NOT, in fact, this weekend. It is on Monday! Strength and honor.

And I'm going to add my 2 cents to the great pizza debate. As a dood who went to Colorado for school, any debate on the relative merits of pizza would be incomplete without Beau Jo's. Mother...Fucking...Mountain...Pies! Nom nom bitches.

So sometimes I watch these 7sage explanations and think to myself there's no freakin way I would've gotten that set up in real time. Look at PT 38 G4 for example. Did you guys go with a similar setup or did you just brute force? This game wrecked me

Hey guys,
I'm taking the LSAT in September, but I wanted your seasoned opinion on how best to drill. I've been drilling for a bit now and I feel like I'm improving but spending a bit too much time on each packet. For instance, I'm currently finishing flaw and moving on to Inference, but the issue is I have 90 or so questions. How did you all go through drilling for LR, did you stop when you saw your scoring become perfect( because even with drilling 60 questions I still had a bit of trouble on the harder higher level questions). I'm aiming for 175+ so those who are hitting around that range, give your wisdom!!!!!
Thanks!

The best way to drill is to pre answer. You can pre answer about 80% of the questions, especially strengthen, weaken, method of reasoning, flaw, and resolve the discrepancy type of questions. Don't drill with time until you get into the 90+% accuracy range.New_Spice180 wrote:Hey guys,

Take every answer you ever get wrong, cut it out and paste it to a 3x5 card. Go back a month or so later and go through all the ones you missed and answer them again. See what your new accuracy rate is with the new LSAT skills you acquired

Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
I think it's due to the RC slightly changing and also not being 100% focused on the reading section.pretzeltime wrote:I think that is common, RCs do get a bit harder in the 70s.mjjames wrote:The drop has been coming primarily from RC sections. I've been getting -4 to -6 regularly since PT 72, from -3 to -0 pre-72.there is a shift in some sections since late 60, but not so much to make this big difference. it depends if your drop is due to those changes.
what were your typical section scores before the drop and after?
HOWEVER, do you think there is any possibility that you are burned out on RC and not able to put your complete effort into practice sections of it? Like, maybe you're putting 95% effort but not that last 5%?
I think that can happen with burnout and RC is the section most likely to suffer if that is the case because it requires a longer attention span/does not have answer that are as clear cut.
I thought I had the same problem as you but recently took pt75 and got 0 wrong on RC, hoping to perform similarly tomorrow on 76.
But if others have theories?
I've seen similar things happen sometimes. My average score on reading from the old to new tests is fairly similar, but the new tests are more of a crapshoot. If I'm not focused and/or get bogged down on one question, I'm rushed the whole rest of the time and making tons of stupid mistakes.
Meanwhile on the old tests I feel like even if I wasn't 100% focused the questions didn't share inferences about the passage tone etc. So I might miss a single one and/or find it easier to just rush through that one question and move one. I think it was also easier to use POE on the old ones and narrow it down to a couple answer choices but now there are more questions where you look at it and have no clue what the correct answer is.
I'm just hoping that come Monday I'm bringing my A game because I'm fine when I perform 100%, but if I get too distracted I'm screwed. I range 0-5 on reading for that reason. LG is kinda similar. If I slack off in the middle of a section and don't keep up the pace I find myself rushing a bunch towards the end. Or if I miss a rule when writing them down and do the entire game incorrectly then I can be screwed. I also go 0-5 in LG.
I much prefer Lr because worst case scenario I spend too much time on a few questions and am a little rushed. And since theyre not all linked together in groups of 5-8 like LG or R, it's much easier to recover if I mess up a little. It only affects one. So I'm way more consistent with them.

Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
I was thinking the same thing while I am drilling. I was going to break it up into 25 Q sections and do 2 "sets" right now once or twice and then leave 2 to come back to later, in a few chapters. I think that will help to check to make sure i retained all the strats. Thats the approach I am taking, don't know if its the best way or recommended way.New_Spice180 wrote:Hey guys,

I think that this approach definitely will help me hone my skills especially on those questions. I've marked "review" above the questions that I had trouble finding the answer or just got plan wrong. I'll definitely try this out!lawpro82 wrote:The best way to drill is to pre answer.
