Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
The Clinton boom years owe a lot to PAYGO and little to Reaganomics, despite protests from bitter Reagan supporters (my mother included)...Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:I've been looking for a book like this.GreatBraffsby wrote:FDR finally in first place like he deserves. The history of the supreme court in his era is really fascinating. A lot of justices with big personalities and influential legal philosophies. There's a book on them called "Scorpions" that I recommend.
To be honest, I wonder how Clinton would be faring in this poll. I think most of us were raised in the Clinton boom years (although some argue they are just an after effect of Reagonomics)

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
hi guys, can i get some unrelated advice that is not about LS / LSAT?
Should I go to an open house for a grad program I am applying to? I get to meet profs, students, and ask questions etc. Do these in anyway make you look any better in terms of being a candidate for admission or should I base my decision to go strictly upon if I think it'll be worth it?
Its a few hours away and the open hours in only for a couple of hours itself. Weighing my options. This grad program is one that I'd be really interested in doing if LS doesn't happen to work out this year.
Thoughts?

If it were 30 minutes away, then it might be worth it. But whatever advantage you get in admissions (realistically: none) probably isn't worth the time and money spent in traveling that distance.flash21 wrote:hi guys, can i get some unrelated advice that is not about LS / LSAT?

Ya I know what you mean, I think some of the rules precluded a good number of setups but I didn't really have a strong grasp on that game even though I read the rules right.seashell.economy wrote:Oh yes, I remembered all of that, but even then, I felt like there were 500 possible diagrams I could set up! This shit needs to stop. Let it go guys. You either got it right or you didn't. Figuring it out a week after the test ended is beyond pointless.SirArthurDayne wrote:Here we go again with Game 3.

If you would spend time working on your GPA or LSAT instead, then do not go.flash21 wrote:hi guys, can i get some unrelated advice that is not about LS / LSAT?

Otherwise, in graduate school, your advisor is important! You should check out who is going to give you a leg up on publications and get the inside scoop from students.
This could also backfire, so play the room. Also, graduate school is not going to help you with admissions, unless you are going into computer science or electrical engineering.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
