So happy with my LR, I had some kind of a boogeyman on my back with LR.
That last game was brutal, I was on an absolute roll in the section but I only had about 7 minutes or so left which wasn't nearly enough. Missed 4 on that one.
Okay, so yeah. Something's definitely wrong with me. The harder the game or the passage, the better I do. When a LG section is all "Easy" to "Mild", I flounder. Ditto RC. I actually skipped the third game in this section to go to the 4th because I thought it was easier and then missed questions in the 3rd one. I want you all to succeed, but for my sake, I hope all of our passages and games are skull-crushingly difficult because apparently normal games break my brain. bla;dsflkjasldkjf;alkjdsf whyyyyyyy

This is how I am with LR. Seems like very obvious ones trip me up but I'll get the hard ones.

Same. I've only ever gone -0 in 4 or 5 star difficulty LR sections per 7sage.

Once you're getting ~80% or so of the LR questions right, you need to see how the questions stop you from being able to apply concepts you understand. Make sure that you are using Manhattan forums for any question you don't understand completely. Also, if you have people around that will listen, talk about the questions you miss.

I used blueprint. They're helpful for LR and games. Their methods are good for getting someone up into the 165 range. I do think you need to add more drilling, bc for LR there are a lot of questions which don't really fit into their prescribed methods for each Q type.

I completely abandoned everything RC related with them. It sounds like you just need to get more consistent there tho.
Yea, I think I'll need a combination of both haha. These next few days will be all about LR; I've been drilling timed games lately and definitely noticed a huge improvement.

Went -0 on PT 45 LG with 5 minutes to spare. Not sure if this was a super easy LG section or if I'm starting to get there for LG. Hoping it's the latter.

On another note, I got an email from Kaplan inviting me to either take their test or supply official scores. I'm really not sure whether I should risk taking their test before June just in case it's full of crap fake questions which could throw me off. Plus I'd probably have to sacrifice a PR day to take it seriously and I'm not sure if this is a good idea for an online test that's potentially fake.

I'd just wait for the real test. It's only like 3 weeks away, better to stay focused on that. I'm definitely applying once I take though.

Took 63 Sunday, 64 yesterday. Taking the Digital Pilot Administration Saturday. Probably 65 next Tuesday. Then I'm up into the 70s on the run up to the 12th

Oh man I just took PT 71 and did it kill me.

I was doing well but then I got to the LR2.
I couldn't stop thinking about a comment my rude coworker made earlier in the day. I lost track, I couldn't focus on the passages, and I got -8 wrong.

-8 wrong!

I didn't even finish reading all the questions. With LR1 I got -2.
My next preptest is on Sunday. Hopefully, I make sure nothing gets in my mind, I focus, and I get a high score again.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Score: 169

LR1; -2
LG: 0
LR2: -8 :( grr
RC: -6

I did pretty bad for RC too. I need to review and make sure what I got wrong. I also tend to run out of time with the last passage too. Maybe I need to drill RC more.

My average is 171 and my best is 169. Hopefully I score higher than 171 on the next PT..

I kinda can't wait for a time when I can take a lsat not in a loud ass coffeeshop with "spaceship"/"air conditioner" white noise tracks to drown out some of the noises.

Going back over basic LR stuff since it's my weakness and I'm surprised at how many basic principles I've been neglecting, no wonder it felt like I've regressed. Definitely needed a refresher. Anyway, hoping this will shoot me to 175.

Sidenote: I get excited when I see new posts in the June group.

Took PT78: LR -11 :?; LG -1; RC -3; Scaled 167.

I think I won't take another PT until Sunday and will just focus on drilling LR until then. This LR was a step back.

I'm very much looking forward to my neighbor's dog not barking for the entire test and for my roommate to not make a smoothie in the middle of it.

Happy with RC and LG. I think I will get back into the trainer to brush up on LR. I think my best bet for ensuring a 170+ is to keep RC and LG where they are and trim a couple missed questions from LR.

I am looking forward to being done studying for this damn test.
A friend who scored a 174 gave me this tip that I try to remember:
"Stop complicating things. Pre-phrase the simplest, easiest answer possible. Don't make it overly complex because then you'll be confused when your answer isn't there." That helped me get from -18 LR to like... -5 to -7.

That's a hella generous curve... -16 = 169?

I am a bit confused by your final results though - how do you have a 171 average if your best score is 169? I don't think that math works

Retook PT 72 today. I took it about 6 weeks ago and got a 163. I did remember some of the questions, but luckily I did not remember their answers.

RC: -1
LR1: -3
LR2: -1
LG:-3

174

Game 4 totally threw me for a loop. I didn't even understand the game until I was on the second to last question. It definitely looks like I have gotten a bit more consistent with LR as it has stayed -4 or less combined on my recent PT's. I think I will work to lock LG down hard next week. If I have a test day meltdown, LG will be where it comes from.
