I am feeling really stupid because I still don't understand the cop question. Why is B wrong? In A, Franklin is eligible and Penn is not - so the conclusion is reached. In B, Franklin satisfies the requirements of receiving the award and Penn did not - so the conclusion is also reached. At least, that's the way I read it. What am I doing wrong?

Their discussions helps. At least, I understand why A is the (most?) correct answer and why I should've chosen it irrespective my feelings toward B. I still feel really ambivalent about the question though.

Sat - PT64
LR -2/-3
LG -2
RC -3
Scaled: 173

Sun - PT65
LR (Exp. from PT39) -3

I'm pretty happy with the scores. I had been drilling RC and LR pretty hardcore this past week though, so I'm shocked at how messy those sections were. I usually go -0 on at least one LR section per PT, so I'm not sure what's going on exactly. Time to drill, drill, and drill some more, I guess!

My RC has always been inconsistent (at best), but I was hoping to see more of an improvement from last week's drilling. I felt pretty fatigued during that -7 section, and I just couldn't focus. Was short on time for the last passage (~7 mins), which happened to be some dense science-y nonsense about thistles. Needless to say: Amtrak cerca 1993.

Which passage did you struggle w the most in terms of wrong answers on pt65? I messed the comparative passage up the most, and in blind review got them all right. I hate when I make dumb mistakes like that on PTs

Here's the thing: I absolutely loved that comparative passage about blackmail. (I'm such a law dork.) I think genuine interest in the subject matter can actually hurt you sometimes. I spent way too long on those, and had almost no time for Passage 4 about soil nutrients and microorganisms (which was so boring that it made me want to tear my eyes out). It also had 8 questions, most of which I got wrong.

I spent way too long on those, and had almost no time for Passage 4 about soil nutrient and microorganisms (which was so boring that it made me want to tear my eyes out). It also had 8 questions, most of which I got wrong.

Dat curve tho - were 64 and 65 -13 and a -14???

i like the tougher curves. even though it's a curve, i still feel like it takes some pressure off compared to the -8 curves of some ive seen.

I hate easy curves. I seem to always make at least some careless errors, so a harder curve is more generous to those.

OK, this question is going to make me sound like a raving lunatic, but here goes:

I'm trying to decide whether I should be printing my PTs single sided or double sided. I find it slightly harder to coordinate page flipping on double sided paper, but single has its drawbacks too (e.g., referring back to RC passages). For anyone who has taken before: Is the real test double sided?

Absolutely. When there is more leniency, that usually means there is a section that is more difficult. But with the LSAT, everyone has different strengths (most people being very bad at LG. Not the people on TLS, but the normal people who dont devote their life to it). If your strength are the games, and the curve is lenient because of a tricky game, you're in a fantastic position. The curve is lenient because of a hard section, but everyone has different strengths. If you catch lightning in a bottle, and the curve happens to be lenient because of a tricky section of your strength, you're golden.

I've seen -8 curves and -13 curves, and I honestly couldnt tell the difference sometimes.

if i print single sided i just keep the passage up instead of turning it over. i find double sided annoying for games bc 75% of the time i write the rules and draw my diagrams on the first page, and then i cant see them after that

Also guys, I'm about to let you know of the absolute best way, and most affordable (at least for me, lol). I know I've said it before, but I went on Cambridge and ordered the "Most difficult" for all 3 sections. I've literally increased my score 7 points since I've been doing them.

I time myself 8 minutes for each hard passage and 10 minutes for each hard game. I started out at about 2 minutes for each LR and have worked my way down to 12 minutes for 8 questions.

After every game, I go to 7sage and see his diagram. After every passage/set of LR, I go to the manhattan forums. It has helped me SO much, and its so cheap to order those things. I've spent so much money on prep, but I can easily say that nothing has benefited me more than this. Only 40 days left guys. Order them today, and spend 2 weeks on them. Then start Pt'ing again. You'll see. When you do these difficult ones, they make the PT's look like freakin cake.

Literally like a 40 or 50 dollar investment. I dont work for Cambridge guys... this is completely unbiased haha

I guess, I'm not sure. I think level 3 and 4's. I know there 410 LR questions, 20 or so passages, and TONS of games. Takes awhile, but its worth it.

Just go to Problem Sets and scroll down. It should be the bottom one, or close to it.
