June 2007 was also my diagnostic. The last game made me want to cry lol.
Alright so I finally got around to redrilling some of those linear games, and I'm not sure how I feel about the results. I did 15 games and missed 2 out of 89 questions, which isn't terrible I guess, but still a little disappointing since these were games I had seen before. 5 took over 8 minutes, which was also disappointing. However, I was taking these basically back to back, so perhaps fatigue got to me towards the end.
I've certainly made some progress, but I'm still far from where I need to be.
Think I'll reread the two linear chapters in the bible before bed.

Did you do that all in one sitting? If you did, that's pretty impressive.RZ5646 wrote:June 2007 was also my diagnostic. The last game made me want to cry lol.

Also, how many hours are you putting in per day at this point?

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
I took a couple short breaks—checked my phone, went to the kitchen and ate a Christmas cookie, etc.—but I was mostly just doing one game after another with ~10 second breaks in-between. I was more focused on individual game time than cumulative time, since these weren't real sections.179orBust wrote:Did you do that all in one sitting? If you did, that's pretty impressive.

Daily time is hard to say. Today the total was about 4 hours, but at least an hour of that was spent scoring and recording games, trying to figure out how to do certain formulas in Apple's Numbers program (which I'm using to track my drilling), and other merely ancillary activities. Overall I'd guesstimate an average of 2 or 3 hours per day between prep book reading, drilling, redoing missed questions, stupidly staring at a game until I see what I'm missing, and watching 7sage video explanations (if I'm doing new games). Games also add up quickly... every time I have a bad game, I want to do another to end the set on a high note lol.

Anyone reading anything that they think might help them in LR or RC? Besides actual prep books of course...

I second the Economist. Their shorter articles are very similar to RC passages. I also try to read the more interesting parts of the New Yorker and the New York Times whenever I can.
Any books?

I read "The Atlantic." Articles are more lengthy so it forces you to concentrate for longer periods of time. Only downside though is that some of the articles are actually pretty interesting; something you won't get with LSAT RC passages.

The Atlantic used to be okay (like for 150 years) but now it's really Buzzfeedy and obsessed with identity politics. It seems like news sites must either build paywalls or give in to the lowest common denominator in the pursuit of ad views.

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
There's so much material available that running out doesn't seem like something to worry about. Even if you dedicate the first 30 PTs (3000 questions!) to drilling, you could still take two completely new PTs every week until June. Also, reusing material isn't nearly as bad as some people think.
I left my Trainer at school so I'm excited to see how it differs from Powerscore when I get back. Hopefully it will show me some new approaches that fill in any gaps PS might have.
Today I've just been reviewing the LGB. Idk if I'll drill later or not, I'm feeling lazy today. I also have the LR Bible and it seems pretty cool. I might skip ahead to some of the question type-specific chapters later to address some weaknesses I noted in my last LR sections.
