Personally, I'm really hoping that the destruction I rained down on the writing sample will make up for the rest of my test. I think I'll get at least a 175 based solely on my essay.

Country 2 FTW

Indeed.....Country 2 had worthwhile things as well and a way better chance to experience the main inspiration on why the Ortegas wanted to take a vacation in the first place.

I must say though in a selfish way hearing that high PT acheivers such as KnockGlock had some moments of hurrying and frustration sort of makes me feel better about my prospects (They are mortal too.) Sure its like lighting a cigarette off of a person in fire...but thanks for the encouragement

I hate to weigh in, but anyone repping country one clearly hasn't read my writing sample. If you had, you would definitely repent and come to where it's at. My logic was relentless, my prose lurid, my conclusions inescapable. Country two - it's like country one, only better in every way.

I hate to weigh in, but anyone repping country one clearly hasn't read my writing sample. If you had, you would definitely repent and come to where it's at. My logic was relentless, my prose lurid, my conclusions inescapable. Country two - it's like country one, only better in every way.

Plus when the guerillas finally finish overthrowing that weakass C2 government, that poor family will never even have another chance to visit!

It made sense to me. I just thought they should rent a plane and that would solve everything.

Though by the time I wrote that, I was deep into country 2 in my essay. But, then I would have chosen C2 anyhow.

Melodramatic/sensational isn't necessarily a bad thing here. They're looking for ability to develop an argument and to write well--not necessarily for writing that would fit in a professional context

Country 1 easssssy, examine the facts...The only advantage country 2 had was that there was a larger chance of seeing the eclipse (Still not a garuntee!!)...Country 1 had...travel advantage (both in price and ease to get there along with flexibility of having a car over having to go by the "tour companys" itinerary..."Unrivaled cultural center" (which thankfully was not under the possibility of having the embassies within said cities taken over due to political unrest...and some members of the family had been there before, which can be interpreted to mean that they had such a pleasant time that they would debate returning there for a second time over visiting an unknown location...yeah city 1 allll day babayyyyy





for the record this was by far the part of the test that I feel most confident in....I most likely scored anywhere from 5-9 points lower than my average...so im fighting til the death for my writing sample

I've heard that most essays go unread. Sigh. I think I was fairly lurid/lucid on mine. I'd rather have that section scored than the games.

Also, just to state for the record, I did indeed mean to use "lurid" in its "sensational/melodramatic" sense. In fact, the essay was so lurid that it pretty much failed to be lucid.

Seriously? Country #2 was way better. Much better chance of actually seeing the event you are planning your vacation around. AND cost and convenience were in no way included in the criteria for determining which country to visit. Nor was safety for that matter.. haha.
