well if a 160 is now say 85th percentile that would hurt you, since you would have done better than more people for the same number score of 160. However, if 160 changes to 75 percentile that means you will have the same chance at admission (all else being equal) than someone else with a 160 from december even though their 160 before meant that they got a higher score. You see what I'm saying?Cognoscenti wrote:What? I don't get this... Or how it would affect our scores?thegor1987 wrote:I read on another post somewhere that the Feb. test is going to have a new curve. I.e. it changes every three years and this is the dec. 09 test was the last one with the same curve. SO in the past three years a 160 was 81%ile, whatever the number of correct responses would correspond to a 160 it would be a 81% nonetheless.
Anyone else heard of this or can provide further verification?

Matlock, that's EXACTLY how I feel at this this point. To be honest with you, after all the shit I've been through with this damned thing, I'm not overly excited myself. It is what it is at this point.

Last year the scores started coming about 9:00 PM eastern on Friday according to last year's thread. Most people thought the scores wouldn't come until Monday because the scores were released so late.[/strike]
Am I the only one who has their mail client (or similar) checking for new messages every minute?
Like most of you, I'm impatiently awaiting that email from LSAC. Unlike most of you, I'm impatiently waiting solely because I want to know WHY I'm going to be drunk on Friday. I'll worry about the implications of the score the next day.

Matlock! It is amazing that you can keep things so light in here especially after all that you have gone through with this test! Thanks!Mr. Matlock wrote: LSAC uses "The Chosen One" to figure out the curves for each administration. I suppose when he dies, they'll have to come up with something new.

Maybe the next group will arrange a TLS gathering 24/48 hours before anticipated release. If it doesn't come out on time, you just drink longer.
Ah, the good life.

We get our scores tomorrow.
I'm nervous, excited, thrilled, happy, impatient, anxious, curious, and hopeful.
I hope I get my 180.

Well I haven't been anxious at all waiting thus far but it just set in about 5 minutes ago. Ah well it will all be over soon. What's crazy is that I'm only trying to get into some evening part time schools in my area. You guys have a larger burden to carry than I do.
Also I know most already know about this but for the few that don't...http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_northeast_storm
Is there a vomit emote on this board?

Re: The Official February 2010 Waiting Thread
So close ... Pretty soon I get to find out where I'll be spending the next 3 years.
I can't see any way I score lower than 165, which would improve my previous 159. Outside shot at a 170 if I run the table on the rest of sections and some hurried guessing the LGs come out correct.
Pretty shocked looking at the old Feb score thread. 167 pages.
With all the talk of the number of score administrations up, it seems pretty quiet for us Feb folks.
