people think going to Minnesota,Alabama,LSU,ASU,UCLA,USC,Washington is a meal ticket but other than top 10% of their 200-300 graduating class, the rest will end up same places as grads from Tier 2 and Tier 3 ( maybe even Tier 4 )

anyways getting back to my main point

that higher score will at least get me some good merit based $$$ which is fine.

Personally, I would like to get some experience then open up my own shop ( provided I graduate debt free or with little debt)

was an accounting major, and business strategy is my passion.

Last question for the test takers that graduated from UG.
Where do you guys do your studying at? city library? do you study at a university library? I want to start studying at a University library, since the city library is full of babies crying or homeless people. However, I am worried about going to the University library since im not a student there. I don't wanna get in any trouble.

I am far removed (ok not that far) from UG, but still plan on going to the UG library to study, as well as city libraries (multiple branches) and Starbucks/Barnes and Noble/Etc.

Verify that you can park in the uni lots and that you don't need a student ID to enter, and you should be fine. Another idea is to look for other common areas on campus.

Those crying babies could be an asset though- studying with NO distractions is great for earlier testing, but you do need to incorporate them once you are comfortable with the material, to really replicate game day.

Depending on the tier two, maybe. TTT and TTTT pretty much resigns you to working shitty jobs.

RE your first point, it's not true look at the employment outcomes and unemployment numbers between T1 and schools below. It's not pretty.

Also, keep in mind if you pay back sticker, buy the time you pay back all your loans you will have paid closer to like 500k due to interest. Local school for free or T14 is really the only acceptable choice. Get to studying.

Well aware of the disadvantages in salary and earning potential but you definitely earn enough up here to do very well for yourself.

Plus it seems like Canadian LS are way more holistic- it seems like LSAT scores are less important, at least looking at their average acceptances.

hmm will do . Thank you for the solid advice. I start my prep Monday for October ( my last retake and attempt allowed in the 2 year period... i gotta make it count)

I'll be posting my 6 month schedule here soon as well. Just a general overview. I don't wanna bog u guys down in that much detail.

I do plan on studying there and then later in my prep perhaps taking a PT there as well since the city libraries don't open till 10 AM ( I want to take the PT at 9 am same time as real LSAT)

i regularly spend 4-8 hours in starbucks when i'm switching jobs or offices specifically because no one cares if i sit there for hours. i do tend to pick up a new drink every 2-4 hours, but that's just because i have a caffeine problem. no one working there has ever seemed to care.

They didn't give a shit at my Starbucks. I bought maybe one drink and had that cup next to me the entire 3, 4 hours I was there. No one said anything lol

If Waterloo is shown earlier than Terry , it is shown immediately before Terry ( PT 63 , section 2)
Kaplan defines this rule as WT or T....W which works beautifully , but i do not understand the rule .....

Basically:

If W happens before T, then it has to be WT.

If W is NOT before T, than W can occur WHENEVER after T, or not at all.

I'm pretty sure they can get you in 100% if you score well enough, but the standard is lower. GPA seems more important.

Schools like U of T and UBC, which are 2 of the 3-4 best schools, will take you in if your GPA/LSAT hits requirements. If I hit a 166 LSAT I'm quite sure I'd be guaranteed at UBC which is the local law school (and the only one in Western Canada in the top 5).

The paradox is that people aged 35 who have gained one pound per year after 35 tended, on average, to live longer than those who maintained their weight. Yet, other studies say that people who gain weight tend to have more health problems that lower their life expectancy. So how is it that those that gained a pound a year after 35 tended to live longer than those that didn't?

A is irrelevant, we don't know how body weight affects life expectancy
B talks about losing weight whereas the stim is concerned with maintaining weight or increasing weight
C just comes WAY out of left field at first glance. But if you think about it, it's actually relevant since smokers, who are leaner and thus do not add weight as they age, tend to have lower life spans -- for obvious reasons. And nonsmokers, who gain weight, do not have health problems presumably because they don't smoke so the increase in weight does less damage to their health. This is a weird ass answer to be honest.

Yeah when I was doing this section I was rushing to get it done in time and when going through the answers, I looked at C saw it talking about Smoking and immediately was like - there is no possible way this can be right. After reviewing it, I came to the same conclusion as you, but wasn't sure if there was something to the question I was missing. Definitely comes WAYyyyy Out of Left Field. lol

I don't normally use proctors which is probably a bad thing but when I do I use 7Sage or http://www.alphascore.com/resources/lsat-proctor/

I use the free Kaplan one, but I don't like it. The distractions setting is nice, but the timer screws up a lot, in a completely unpredictable fashion.

from what i've read on the boards, it looks like proctors are watching you like a hawk. i wouldn't do it. the repercussions aren't worth it, not to mention that i wouldn't be 100% proud of my score, as i wouldn't have really earned it.

hey everyone, what seems to be the general consensus on improving time? drilling? because i've been finally taking PTs, and it seems like my score drops every time, but mostly because i'm omitting an average of 7 or more questions a section. but i'm actually missing less questions.

i took february and our room had two proctors - one at the front watching everyone and one legit creeping over your shoulder. they spaced us out in every other row and she would walk down the empty row and look at each test booklet as she passed.

plus, you know. it's just wasting time and energy. if you finish early, you're better served going back and double checking questions you found difficult.

I would say there is a pretty high likelihood that you'd be caught. Plus you know, its wrong.
