It's pretty unfair, especially since the percentage range of your A isn't any bigger than the percentage range of my A+ and A together. It would be a bit more fair if it was at least easier for you to get an A than it was for me.
.
At my school, A+s are rarely given out in classes where you write papers. I'd say I can pull As without much effort, but breaking the 90% barrier seems to mean I need to talk to the prof and figure out exactly what they're looking for. I've also had a couple professors say that they just don't give them out period, lol. Meanwhile I have straight A+s in every class I've taken that was maths based. It wouldn't surprise me if profs are less willing to give out 90%+ when there's a distinction between that and 85% - 89%, than when it's all the same. It's not like the % is on your transcript.
What is the percentage ranges breakdown for grades at your university?
90+ - A+
85-89 - A
80 - 84 - A-

and so on

Anyone now if 7sage's GPA predictor is accurate? That's what I've been using.
Just had a miniature heart attack but then I realized my calculator was right http://www.lawpad.com/gpa_calculator/
since my gpa is riddled with A-'s. you're fine relax.
Yeah I've been calculating my gpa using those calculators the whole time, so that was already accounted for. I dunno why I was flipping out.

Also 3.67 as an A- sucks. Its what my university does (no A+ at my school either :? ) so at least no surprises with lsac
IT SUCKS DOESN'T IT.
Its sucks but being polisci afforded me 3.8 so in case i have a bad spring '17 semester I should be still "competitive". Honestly it's the LSAT that sucks to me anyways right now it's like 165 or bust  as we all know or heard you can have a 3.4 and go to HLS if your lsat score is beautiful. Don't worry on GPA too much its not weighted as much as in LSAT in admissions anyhow!
Alex has dope af gpa, I'm the resident splitter lol. But yes the H/S dream remains a glimmer of hope in my world.

Is it bad that I think with a 179 or up you do have a chance at T4? I'm super optimistic tho, below the 25 is below the 25 imo

Math here is brutally difficult, but other than that same here. Always like :?: wot :?: when I see it recommended as a program for an easy high GPA. Thought I was insane so glad you agree.
Well, I was talking more about economics type math, not math degree type math. Apart from Econometrics, it's very easy.

But yeah, I wouldn't recommend PoliSci in N California if all you care about is a high GPA. I'd recommend Health Sciences - now THAT stuff is inflated here.

Yup. I've had a prof ask me if they could keep my paper as an example for future students, saying that it was amazing and way above a 1st year level, and it was only a 93%. You just don't get high 90s here unless the grading is completely objective. Not trying to brag, just trying to illustrate the point.

(don't quote this part) On the flip side, growing up and seeing American media, I always thought it was crazy that y'all could get literally perfect grades in a writing based class. :P

+1
Literally five students out of 650+ got a 90 or higher my (multiple-choice) PoliSci midterm.
 It's a wake up call, eh? I'm pretty sure the median final grades for my PoliSci classes tend to be around C+.

Wow, going from drinking multiple times a week, to not once in 4 months really screws with your tolerance. Yikes.

I'm going to crack open the LR book tomorrow. I'm not taking the LSAT anymore, but it can't hurt to familiarise myself with some of the logic. I'd love to get comfortable with necessary and sufficient assumptions ASAP.

Sorry, I'm not taking the LSAT this September. It just doesn't make much sense when I still have 2 years of UG left, and want to get a Masters and WE before LS.

It's absolutely the right choice, as much as I wish I could take it now.

Lol yeah, this thread is mostly 5 or so people chatting about general things.
