Yes! That is the other half of my study technique. Just starting studying 4 days ago (160 on Feb LSAT) and have gone 160, 165, 162, 166, 168. I think the 7Sage vids have been driving any improvement there that is more than noise.Slippin' Jimmy wrote:Do you watch the 7sage explanations on youtube? they are invaluable.Jack_Kelly wrote:I think I will probably get the bible if nothing else. Since end of April I've cut out all booze and did the same for "other substances" back in Feb. No other nutritional changes for the LSAT, but I was diagnosed with Colitis a couple weeks ago so my diet has changed, and I'm actually feeling a hell of a lot more focused, but I'm not sure if its the diet itself or the fact that my symptoms are way less now.zkyggi wrote:Anybody making nutritional changes for June?

Hi guys, new member here. I'm a little terrified and would appreciate your help. Been studying for the past month but the most i've gotten in a prep test-- only taken a few-- has been 150. Today's the deadline to change the LSAT date. Should I switch to the September one? I'm not familiar with the general consensus here when it comes to taking the official test twice. Is the philosophy here among the 95th+ percentile "One and Done"?

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Well obviously it depends on what is your plan. If you want to get in some T30-T40 school, I'd go for September. I mean, I don't think that you can go from a 150 to more or less 160 in one month. Even though a retake doesn't affect your file, this is just useless.marcos2011 wrote:Hi guys, new member here. I'm a little terrified and would appreciate your help. If you plan to attend a school where you are competitive with a 153/155, then you should try this round. However that is something I wouldn't recommend... 10 points more and you are in a completely different school.

This is not a drill
I have just gotten off the phone with the LSAC and a representative told me they have abolished the three takes in two years restriction. Her words were "Now you can take it as many times as you want."

If you can't identify an answer quickly/struggled with comprehending the passage, quickly move on and then come back to the passage/question at the end. When you come back, read the passage again before going to the question/answer choices. At least once I started doing this, I consistently get these LR questions right quickly on the second attempt.anonposter6775 wrote:NavyNuke wrote:PT 67 today. Got a 170.

The first game in LG threw me off. I didn't know how to diagram the game and it took me WAY too much time to work my way through the questions. Had to guess on two questions on the last game because I ran out of time. Haven't been over -2 on LG in a whilebut staying in the 170s is good. If I can keep RC under -5 I think I will be ok.
I think 168+ plus and I won't retake. Hopefully a score above that, military experience, and a 3.84 can produce some good options.
I took the same test today and got a 151 (about average for me, but I'm hoping to do much better on game day). Any tips on being more consistent with LR?

Tbh I don't think it's that big of a deal for most people, but for someone like me who had no idea what I was doing with my first take (my first real take last September was the first time I'd ever seen anything LSAT ever), that takes a huge burden of stress off of the upcoming June test.Walliums wrote:Yes! Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Three of my last five practice tests have all been 169 ):
Really hoping to crack 174 on test day but not sure. My LG is still -0 or -1, but my RC is sliding down to about a -3/-4 average and I have no clue how I managed to regress on it. LR is still holding at about a combined -9 average, which isn't going to cut it. I just went through RC in the trainer so ideally that'll help get me back to -2 or lower. I'm hoping that with some more studying this week that everything in LR can click and I can cut my errors down by about half.
I can't believe there are only 27 days left

I'm glad this forum exists because no one else will understand my frustration with scoring a 169 instead of my usual score yesterday. Took PT 65 and was super distracted, and then I hit the last LG which I totally fucked up because I forgot how a one-hour block would affect time, which reflected in my RC which is already supposed to be harder than normal.
Gaaaaahhhh! I just have to remember no one cares about my excuses, especially not LSAC. Gotta pick up and keep going.

Yep! I had a (hopefully stray) 166 the other day and freaked out. All my friends said "isn't that still a really good score?" And I said "not when it's below median everywhere I plan to apply except one school."Amerision wrote:I'm glad this forum exists because no one else will understand my frustration with scoring a 169 instead of my usual score yesterday.

Oh yeah once you've gotten past 170, everything that starts with a 16x seems like a huge failure. And I always remind myself that whatever excuse I have on a PT does not matter and does not apply come test day. "I slipped up on a rule on LG" seems harmless enough until your official score is 4 points lower than it should be lol. And I ALWAYS have an excuse.Amerision wrote:I'm glad this forum exists because no one else will understand my frustration with scoring a 169 instead of my usual score yesterday. It's at least helpful to be able to point to something that could have affected your score. Because the next time you PT you can try to remove that factor. But your frustration is legitimate (I know I am frustrated when I drop down below what I expect).Amerision wrote:I'm glad this forum exists because no one else will understand my frustration with scoring a 169 instead of my usual score yesterday. Also what do you consider your "usual" score? I've heard we all have a +/-5 point range from a certain score.
