I've heard meth keeps you from being sleepy. You could try that hot/cold shower thing to wake up, but meth is more reliable.jbf wrote:Took PT 67, with a 170.

I've been hitting 168-171 on PTs, aiming for a 167+ on Test Day.
Any tips to combat potential dips this Saturday? That killed me in October. I'm taking one more full-length PT today and will probably go somewhere with distractions.

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
I'm right in your boat. Been averaging a 169 for the past five tests and would like to stay above a 167 on test day. October and June were both substantially lower (-9 & -7 respectively) than my PT averages going in.jbf wrote:Took PT 67, with a 170.

I'm hoping my routine this week (getting up at 7:00 and going through all of the motions I would do on test day, then actually taking a full PT) will help. Also, this is the first time I've been so consistent with scores. I'm hoping that's due to my recently-discovered understanding of the test's trends.
Planning on taking PT 59 spaced out over the course of today. Already went -0 on the first section (LG). LR1 on deck now. Then gonna do a dress-rehearsal tomorrow morning with PT 55.

Great work on the -0! I think that routine should definitely help. I'm debating whether or not to study at all tomorrow. Might just review some tests and drill.enidwexler wrote:jbf wrote:

You can be our party's Priest if we play FFT. That's my one weakness on these games: too much offense and never enough D.I'll have Curaga ready in case a tough game wounds me.

I'm pumped for Saturday.
Took one RC section, one LG section, one LR section this morning and went -1, -1, -0
I feel like I should be -0 on LR by now but oh well. Feeling pretty good.

I'm basically the exact opposite. I used to like playing multi-player games like Baldur's Gate with my brother because I would be this offensive-minded cannonball and he would run around healing me. So fun.mrizza wrote:I'm always obsessed with def. Except I was extremely dizzy for around an hour after waking up. I think my body is rebelling against my lack of sleep. So hopefully that doesn't happen during the test.

PT 59 (So Far)
LG: -0
LR1: -4 (Eh.)
2 of them were stupid, hasty mistakes on Role of the Argument questions. Bah.

On break from PT 63.
LR 1 was a cakewalk, LG went really well. LR 2 chewed me up and spat me out. I'm not sure if that was because I was getting fatigued and looking past the section to the break, or if it was legitimately harder than LR1. I'm expecting -1/-0 on LR1. Probably -4 or worse on LR2. Fuck.

Sitting in my testing room right now.
Surfing at the Boalt Hall website.
Just called my mom and she told me how awesome I'm going to do.
Trying to make positive correlations here. Haha.

took the test this morning; its one of the roughest PTs ive tried. peat moss? i had a in as a weak contender, but chose b.Wormfather wrote:Ok, did the first LR from PT 66 and went -1. I'm happy, it was fun, did it in 33 minutes even. But that one question I got wrong...I got it wrong in June...then again right before my prep in Oct and now I've gotten it wrong again.
Someone please explain to me not only why B is right for PT66 Section 1, Q12. BUT WHY THE FUCK I KEEP CHOOSING A!?!?!?!!?
I put B as a contender but it just feels like a leap. RAOR!!!!
/ragequits to the gym
the conclusion: the belief that the practice is environmentally sound is mistaken
then there's some sciencey bull about some effects of the practice on oxygen levels.
A- "may be" is too weak to straight up claim the belief is bollocks. also doesnt connect with the latter half of the argument, which is the part that needs justifying.
B- yes, this links up the science with the concept of being environmentally sound.
on another q, the wording in B might make me shy away, but with a justify question it hits the mark.
