Took PT14 today because I'm trying not to chug through all the modern PTs at once.
LG: -1
L1R: -1
RC: 0
LR2: -1
98/101 --> 178

Even though this is a really old test, good comeback in RC (-4 -6 0 -4 -6 in last 5. Ridiculous.). Actively eliminating lots of wrong answers helped my accuracy greatly. Worrying about time pressure hurt me a lot before, so I took it easy and read the passages slowly and deliberately, because it turned out sometimes I did 3 questions in less than 1 minute, which MORE than made up for a slow passage time. On the other hand, when I was trying to storm through the passages to get at the questions, I ended up looking back and re-reading so many times that I wasted a ton of time.

PT 51
LR: -1
RC: -3

LR: -2 (exp)
LR: -2
LG: -0
94/100, -6, 176

Overall, for being my first strict test I'm definitely happy. If I got this score on the real thing I would be beyond stoked. I was definitely nervous during parts of the test, and found RC to be more difficult than usual and LG even easier than before, with LR seeming about the same as other tests.
I really need to get that RC consistently down, it was the fourth passage that caught me on this test.

My goal is to get back into the -3 club with super strict tests consistently before the real thing.

just took pt 51.5, really wondering when i'm going to get back to not making dumb mistakes on lg, and changing right answers to wrong answers hurts too, along with the brutal cure.

LG: -2 (could have been -4 but went back and reviewed since i had time to spare which is nice but i'd rather not be making those errors at this point)
RCe: -0 (from PT 49, nothing stands out as being too difficult atm)
LR1: -2 (changed a right answer to a wrong one on #11, and missed the "likely" in answer choice A on #22, ugh)
LR2:-1 (def felt easier than first section, missed parallel flaw #20 which looking back should have been more obvious, no idea if i was thrown off by the ridiculousness of an ad hominem against hairdressers or what, but would definitely like to get this one back)
RC: -1 (missed main point on internet privacy, i do love how dated these passages feel, like who would ever compare a webpage to an answering machine message nowadays? either way, was my first comp passage experience and thought it was pretty easy.)

Raw: 94
Scaled: 172

Overall i'm kinda pleased with how i did, i just feel like i'm so close to cracking the upper 170s but obviously the margin for error is basically nil, esp on a -8 curve. but oh well, at least i have some reviewing material now haha

In the middle of PT32. I don't know if it's because I haven't touched much material since Saturday or because I'm taking a PT late, but that was the most challenging RC I've come across. I usually only find one passage difficult, but I thought 3 of the 4 were pretty tough this time around.

Feeling pretty demoralized. Just bombed a PT completely, got my lowest scaled and raw score yet, and it looks like this was supposed to be an easy one (PT45). Got whopping -6 on the RC. What. Happened.

Tomorrow I'm going to print all the RC sections from PTs under 30, and drill like crazy. I am just way too slow. Considering buying the MLSAT RC guide, even at this late point.

(And thanks for the suggestions earlier on LG. I'll do one extra section a day from the PTs in the 30s, hopefully that should be enough.)

Wow. Ecstatic. My first ever perfect LR section, best scaled score ever, tied for best raw score ever. Took this one pretty late, after a grueling day of moving out of my house at school, and after 3 straight days of final exams. Glad to see it didn't affect me much.

Misbubbled #2 on LR1, even circled the wrong answer on the test form- oh well. I had seen the games before, but only once many months ago. I compensated by only giving myself one go through, no checking answers at the end even though I had 4 extra minutes.

I thought RC was very hard, especially P2 (multicultural education) and P3 (native american autobiographies). I was lucky to escape with -3, and after a quick glance it looks like my wrong answers were all one ones that I debated heavily, so not too mad about that.

These PTs lately have shown me how important that 0 in LG is, it really takes a huge burden off of you. I think that by locking up LG, as I continue to improve in LR (would have had my personal best if not for the misbubble), I can really reach for the sky in these next few weeks. The mid to high 170s are really starting to become a realistic goal.

Schools finally out, excited to see what kind of progress I can make now that I can put all my efforts into the LSAT.

Oh dear, don't get me started! I actually thought it was a toss up between the stained glass windows and conferences in terms of difficulty. Betrayed by the section that I relied upon the most....oh well, that's what retakes are for!

haven't taken PT 62, but yeah, i'm a serial score canceller (aka wuss?) so this shall be my last retake. good luck in the fall, btw!

I fully agree. Most of the advice I've gotten from top scorers is to solidify this section. Actually the bulk of my prep in the next 2 weeks besides PTs will be LG. Starting a few days ago, I'm doing 6 sections (24 games) a day, in the hopes of completing every timed LG section twice before the big day.

just had my first lsat nightmare haha, pretty standard except for the proctor being a teacher from hs, who was not having any of my excuses about not having my admissions ticket.

speaking of, what are you guys gonna put in your 1 gallon bag? and for that matter, i have no idea what my breakfast is going to be either, besides coffee haha.

funny, just had my 2nd lsat dream yesterday. opened up my booklet on test day and there weren't any goddamn questions, just the proctor's notes from his training. everyone else was busy hustling through the section and i'm there freaking out o_O

Thanks everyone, and I agree that soj is poised for a great score. I think all of us are going to do great though.

Really pleased with how I've taken down those late parallel reasoning Q's recently. Scanning the conclusion to make sure it matches the stimulus usually eliminates at least 2-3 of the ACs.

I'm seriously hoping Soj does very well, because I've been secretly comparing my scores with his for the same test, and there is a strong corelation - I'm always 8-10 points below, and I go up or down as he does.
Pretty thrilled - I got a 170 on PT55 yesterday, though I think it is an easier PT. I think Soj got a 180 here, so my approach is working.
