RC: -3
LR: -0

Damn RC got me with that science section, I just couldn't get every detail in my head right. LR and LG were solid, though the second LR section was definitely harder than the first.
Gotta keep this up...I need a high score. My LSDAS GPA is only 3.5 (my UG GPA is 3.7, but two damn high school concurrent math classes dropped it). So I need a great score to balance my shitty GPA.

Did ok on LG suprisingly (for me at least, -3). Got completely OWNED on LR. These 50s PTs LR are substantially harder. My brain's ability to analyze in LR is completely gone. For RC,barely made it the two sects with basins of attraction and groupthink, as much as I was like "yep that shit is so true in the military..." It was hard to hold the technical info in the noggan (sp?)

How many breaks you guys taking during a week? I felt a little burnt out today so I'm taking the day off tomorrow. The problem is, I work full time so a "day off" isn't really a day off since I'm on the computer all day at my office and my mind's always exhausted when I get home. I guess it's still good to take a day off the LSAT's

I was hoping to do a little better, but I'll take it.

Code-switching (-0) actually wasn't as bad as I remembered it. And faculty patenting (-1) was also not too bad, and I would have gotten -0 on it if I hadn't misread a question. But I remembered why I hated the stupid oil drilling passage (-1). That probably should have made dishonorable mention on my least favorite list. I hate PT43 RC.

Speaking of that list, one passage that certainly should have made the top 10 least favorites is the legal penalties passage in SP B. What an annoying piece of crap. Seriously, LSAC, don't put any psychological crap in RC in June. I keep getting distracted by knowledge from psychology classes. (See groupthink and cohesion.)

As for breaks, I take between 2 and 3 days off a week.

Moronic mistakes on pt52 today. Did not get much sleep, slept in, and went , -9 on both lr sections combined. Lg perfect as always. Napped, got -1 on the rc. So angry for having wasted this pt. My steak of -8 raw is now poisoned, haha. Revenge tomorrow, which should I take, guys, 51 or 56?

56 was easier than 51 for me in the fall (-10 vs -11, respectively). Not sure what to do...other than those two i have PT 58-62, out of which only 62 I have never taken. Should I do 51/56 and then 62 and then 58-61? I feel like it would be a lot of pressure to do 62 as the last test prior to June and taking PT 59 (last june) would be symbolically appropriate as the last test.

What do you think?

The only reputation I know of is that 62 has a tough LG and a relatively generous curve. That could work out pretty well for you since you're strong in LG.

I wouldn't worry too much about which PT to save for last. Of course you want to go into the test on a hot streak, but it shouldn't significantly affect how you do.

yes, you're right, i confused it with PT 57. Thanks, soj. Yeah, hot streak would be great, I just don't want to get scared in case if I don't do well on 62. Maybe i should just not care about the order and sequence of tests and just blindly select which test im doing that day...too much strategizing can be useless, esp since my goal is to get into the -5 raw territory. My highest ever is still -7, total PT average is -11, but as of late i hovered around the -8 mark. So it should not really matter which PT gets me there. I need to man up and take it.

Soj, just saw you're re-doing stuff from late April? Are you sure you don't remember it somehow? I'm afraid to re-do Jan, haha...maybe I should give it a try, given my lack of PTs relative to the 19 days left.

I must really not have a good memory because I didn't remember particulars, at least not consciously. There certainly were a few questions that I took extra care in because I remembered I got it wrong the first time, but I usually couldn't remember which answer I chose or which answer was correct.

I got my Staedtler erasers in the mail today. I haven't used one since middle school, but I remembered how good they are so I ordered some from Amazon last weekend. I just gave one a try and it felt like hooking up with a high school crush with whom you lost contact during college.

I know. I love the feel of those soft, firm erasers in my hands too.

Not too bad. Made some dumb mistakes on RC but it's getting there. We all know that this curve is rough, but I'm happy with the -6.

Took four tests in four days so today is a rest day. I'm taking fourteen tests (thirteen 6-section tests) between now and game day so I'm pretty excited about the ability to secure a score in the mid-170s.

What are you all doing in the 19 days that we have left?

Btw -- so it has been established that SPB, SPC, and the PTs in the 30s have really hard LG sections, right? Because I have not been doing well on them, after usually getting -0s on other PTs. Should I spend time mastering these harder games (given that I have a lot of RC training I need to do as well and we have like two weeks left...), or just assume that that LG will not be that hard on test day? If I should master them, should that just consist of me redoing them several times?

Going to take a super-intense and strict test today at 1pm, PT 51. 30 second break between each of the first three sections, and an experimental from one of the 20's tests I never did. Using an analog watch for time, and put the scoring sheet in a different room so I can't score between sections.

i agree completely, no game was "hard" per se but nothing came easy either (though i still don't totally understand the rule from the 2nd game where it was like if x then y or z but not both, and then the contrapositive was like if no y and no z then x or if y and z then x. but i digress). i also think you should just really look at what it was about those games that tripped you up and work on that. i.e. superprep games were rough on me b/c my attention to detail wasn't great, and certain types of sequencing games still haven't totally clicked. but it sounds like you have a very strong grasp on games as it is, so you shouldn't have to abandon RC for LG, i wouldn't think.

TO SOJ and 99 - I think it is important to take the most recent tests right before the test, for one reason. Comparative reading section.

On break from PT 51 right now, feeling good about the two LR sections, but definitely worried about the RC.

My solution to this is not to print the answer sheet. It forces you to take the test and only afterwards, go to your computer and look up the pdf file with answers. The whole leaving the answer sheet in the other room didn't work for me - weak, i know.

Cold, re the comparative reading RC - i actually look forward to those and they are never my worst passages - although they do get harder in the late 50s/early 60s PTs from what i recall.

I'm very flattered, Jim, but that's a bit premature. After all, RC is the only part of the test on which I've never gotten -0 (yesterday's -1 is not the first time i've come sooooo close to it, though).

I say cold and soj are still the badasses since they've gotten -3s on some PTs. Have them share the honor.
