This one, and likely every cycle I follow from here on out. The only plus is that now I know what numbers I want to hit, but jeez it's even stressful and soul sucking just observing.Alexandros wrote:Wot cycle? My guess is they WL'd them because Yale.

Absolutely. With those numbers, even without YS, you're golden, and judging by the Yale thread, most people weren't too bothered by their rejections or wait-lists, they just wanted to be free.Alexandros wrote:These ones http://lawschoolnumbers.com/whiskeyandiron and http://lawschoolnumbers.com/bandicoot have gotten me through some dark days (bucket of salt because both top private).oopsu812 wrote:This one, and likely every cycle I follow from here on out. When you get to the post-LSAT / app-time stage I think TCR is just don't have your heart set on Y or S. ultimately it'll be dependent on a lot of factors that are out of your control.
Yup those numbers are about the aim. 3.85+, 177+, and WE = great great shot. #goals

We've talked about Stanford a lot. The fact that it is such a black box is why it is so cool tho.

Or you know.. fall in love with nothing, because all this love for unobtainable schools for me is really gonna be a buzzkill when reality comes crashing down.Alexandros wrote:Imo the best thing to do is just fall head over heels for all of the non-HYS t13s, especially the generous ones.

So instead of obsess over this cycle during my time off, I've decided to read for pleasure. Something I haven't had time to do in AGES. Praiseeee Stanny!

I still feel weird committing to Duke tomorrow because I feel like everyone goes to the "best" school they get into (especially if it's a t6), but f*ck it, I love Duke. I don't think I'll regret it in the slightest unless I somehow manage to screw up and end up jobless in 3 years.

I was gonna say "Nah, I'm going to the school I felt like I fit at" but it's also the best school I got into...chargers21 wrote:I still feel weird committing to Duke tomorrow because I feel like everyone goes to the "best" school they get into (especially if it's a t6), but f*ck it, I love Duke. Yeah I can't really figure out secondary markets lol.chargers21 wrote:*technically* Duke is the 3rd best I got into because I also got into UM (Berkeley WAS higher than Duke but we all know how that went). I fit in at Chicago and Duke for separate reasons, but Duke definitely seems a little bit better suited for me. Plus at Chicago, I'd know that I was going to stay in the midwest from the start and work in Chicago, but at least at Duke I can dream about getting a BL job in the south. The actual lawyers on this board told me to temper my expectations of being able to get Charlotte or Atlanta out of Duke

Ugh just did PT 3.2 for LR and managed to get a -11 on it, which is worse than I think I've ever done. Granted I've taken a grand total of 6 LR sections total ever, but I had just finished the LSAT Trainer section 1 on LR. Need to modulate my schedule better - this after work starting at 9 PM may not be sustainable in the long-run. -6 on Blind Review though, which I suppose is better, but generally atrocious

Yeah if I can't get this into the -5 to -7 range for both sections by July, either I'm doing that or buying the 7Sage course or engaging a Powerscore tutor or something. But you're right - one data point does not an accurate picture make.Alexandros wrote:Manhattan LR is good.abujabal wrote:Ugh just did PT 3.2 for LR and managed to get a -11 on it, which is worse than I think I've ever done. Just when I thought my social media was going to be free of election drama for the first time in what seems like years, May calls a snap election in the UK. Kill me y'all, there's no escaping it.

If you've only done 5 chapters of the trainer and 6 LR sections total there is no reason to worry. Just keep at it and you'll be fine by September; the test is still 4 1/2 months away.abujabal wrote:Ugh just did PT 3.2 for LR and managed to get a -11 on it, which is worse than I think I've ever done.
