Still haven't checked it yet. Got off work around 7 (ct) and poured a nice strong drink while listening to good music to prepare myself. I can't decide if the comments in this thread have been helpful or not.

All I have to say, FUCK MY JOB! It's time to take on this f***ing LSAT BEAST MODE STYLE!

I wish you could write a letter to the law schools and explain your shit, but that just seems like whining. Weeks leading up to my LSAT, I didn't study at all cause my brother was hospitalized in an emergency. Had to be with the family is another state and spent all day at the hospital everyday.

So, I need another go at this. TELL ME NOT TO GIVE UP SOMEONE!!

Why would you give up? First of all, you've already put in work that is likely to make future work either more fruitful or easier. Second, I actually find the LSAT to be fun. It is enjoyable to pit yourself against a worthy adversary and training for that can be as enjoyable and productive as the actual score. As a corollary, if you don't enjoy that sort of competitiveness, then perhaps you should question the longer-term goal of law school. If you are uncertain, let the LSAT be your microcosm. Either way, you have little to lose.

I love the LSAT studying, especially LG and LR. RC sucks.

The only thing I hate is my age numbers are going up each year I push this.

And Abbey, I don't know you but i kinda lurked/sometimes posted on this thread, don't give up either. It will seem better once you've got some distance from getting your initial score.

Eh. I talked right after I took the test and when I got greyed. Not many people in my real life even know what the LSAT is, and I wanted to share.

And hey... All the shooting in the gym occurred before this thread was made, didn't it? This thread was just gossiping in the locker room.

Okay, in a really weird sort of way, that hedgehog picture was kinda motivating. Thanks! :)

I'm 27. Part of the magic I see in the LSAT is its ability to wipe away certain other things. With the right LSAT score, age or GPA might be rendered less important, it is a great equalizer. If anything, you should view the LSAT as having value removed from time, perhaps also with the thought that the LSAT might become more valuable as your personal years pass. That's my mindset at least.

Are you starting school at 27?

Probably won't start law school until 28.

I've given it a few hours and come to the realization that not doing as well as I wanted on the LSAT might be a blessing in disguise. I'm pretty much shut out of the t14 now but I've already got a great offer on the table from Arizona State and given my career goals and where I want to live that actually makes a lot of sense. And, the girls are hot, which counts for something. It's still going to bother me for a long time that I never reached close to my potential on this test though.

That's good to know. Thats probably going to be the age I start - 27 to 28 since I'm pushing forward another year.

I feel the exact same way minus the hot girls part. Although if I could find a school with handsome men that'd be cool I guess lol

I prefer just a lil stubble or a clean shave versus a full beard personally, but it depends on the guy. But anyway...hahaha

I didn't mention this earlier but for the record I'm actually older than you, and the way I see it is that even if I become a lawyer at the ancient age of 33 I still have more than 30+ years to make a career out of it. You have valuable work and life experience that you shouldn't discount, and more than enough time to be a lawyer.

Haha, I like a little beard! Not the really long hipster ones though..

New poll - beards or no beards.

I just need to stop listening to my family. They think I need to be married with babies by the time I'm 30, not in law school. Damn 1/2 Indian family!

This is my life minus ASU. I've got good options with a 166 but not reaching that T14 probably will haunt me for the rest of my life. But who knows. Maybe the school I end up at will be better for me.

Personally I would never...even though you might have the opportunity to go to a higher-ranked schools depending on your 1L grades, the curriculum won't necessarily be the same between schools. You might fall behind & regret it. Also, I do consider the social factor of things. It was hard on me transferring after my freshman year of undergrad...I mentioned before that, to this day, I feel like I missed out on a lot and kinda lost parts of my youth idk.

I totally get it. I transferred for undergrad as well and the social factor is definitely lost in translation. But do you really think that's going to matter? I mean, I know friends are important but you're not going to see those people in law school. And the friends you make in law school are going to most likely be going somewhere different than you. I don't know, I know the social part is important but is it important enough to put aside the top 10?

It's not about friends necessarily. To me, I'm thinking more of a sense of belonging. I hate feeling like an outsider and it's kind of how I've felt my whole life to be honest. So I want to find a place and make it work. I don't wanna have to uproot and start over somewhere else again...and that includes academic and social stuff. And I don't think I'd get into a top 10 based on where I'll probably go in the fall

I'm not going to start at any school that I don't plan on graduating from. That being said, if I somehow beat the curve and have a top 5% GPA, then I'm sure I might at least consider transferring. But considering that transfers pay sticker it would have to be quite a jump for it to be worth it.
