ADVICE PLEASE.
Just got my score back, first time taking it, and got a 154. SUPER disappointed, I was PTing in the low 160s and was hoping for that because I depend on scholarships to attend Law School, as I am not able to take out student loans (I'm an international student).
My LSAC GPA is 3.96, I have good softs and honestly this score just kills me. If I decide to sit out for the next year, taking it again in June, my visa will expire and I will have to risk going back home for 2017-2018. I've built a life in the US for the past 5 years, so that's my last option.
I do not have money to pay full price for a prep course, but I can't retake in February if I don't start a fast faced course right now.
Besides Kaplan, do you guys know of any prep courses that offer discounts/scholarships?
I got the "assistance" from Kaplan that brought their course down to $300, which I can afford, but I don't think they'd help me improve that much. I was hoping for a score in the 160-168, which would give me some scholarship leverage in some top 50.
All I need is some financial help. I can prove I make very little money and can't afford it (work part time and make less than 20k).
Thank you all. (And to everyone who hit or surpassed their targets, CONGRATS GUYS!!!)
