Holy shit, I actually got my 180. Thank you so much to all of the helpful people on TLS and to the forum as a whole for making me realise what was possible with the right process and the right amount of hard work. I'm forever going to be indebted to this place!

But in the future, only one of them will likely be called Employed Lawyer.Sgttpc wrote:I realize the score (144) is low. I don't deny that, but on the first day of law school, the 170's and 140's are all called Law Student.

165 with a 3.72 GPA. Worth retaking, or should I just be happy? Only studied from Jan-10th till Feb. 9. I think, given my Texas Resident and alumni status, that might get my into U of Texas at Austin.

SINCE you didn't study much, you should definitely retake. 3 points would get you close to a full ride from UT. Also, I only checked this forum because your username was the most recent poster, and I wanted to tell you how much I like it.Jarndyce&Jarndyce wrote:165 with a 3.72 GPA. Nobody asks for your LSAT score. They ask for your law school GPA. That's pretty much all that matters. So....you're wrong.rebexness wrote:But in the future, only one of them will likely be called Employed Lawyer.Sgttpc wrote:I realize the score (144) is low. scooped. I was scared of being called rude. Frankly, thats optimistic to assume even one of them will. And, what's so insulting about the fast food industry, elitist scum? A concerning lack of scholarship in this thread.rebexness wrote:But in the future, only one of them will likely be called Employed Lawyer.Sgttpc wrote:I realize the score (144) is low. Hahahaha thank you. Before deciding on law school, I was in a Grad program at UVA for English Literature. Glad you liked it.shifty_eyed wrote:SINCE you didn't study much, you should definitely retake. 3 points would get you close to a full ride from UT. Oh to be so young, so naive, with such an optimistic of one of the most shittasticly overpopulated professions.Jarndyce&Jarndyce wrote:Nobody asks for your LSAT score. +1. Congrats on your score. Move forward to doing great things. Some people here are miserable and have nothing better to do but to ridicule.Sgttpc wrote:That's too bad. Seems like a good place to get ideas and help. In life they are everywhere, not just here.

157.
No prep whatsoever.
1st time taking the test.
<- Fails at life.
For people who have taken the test without any prep and then with some prep, is the increase in score worthwhile?

For the love of god YES. If you got a 157 with no prep you are more than capable of scoring 170+ after prepping hard for a few months.gbaby2089 wrote:157.

i'm saddened by the unsupportive nature of so many people on these forums. not everyone wants to, needs to, or can go to a T14 school for law. if the guy (who scored a 144) is proud of what he has accomplished, and is happy going to the school that he has chosen, who are you to bash him?
not everyone believes that working as a top corporate lawyer validates their worth as a human being. some people will be completely content living modestly and working as a small-town lawyer.
not everyone wants what you want, and who are you to judge them for that?

Nobody was saying that he can't. However, to think that the LSAT score is irrelevant ismtr12345 wrote:i'm saddened by the unsupportive nature of so many people on these forums. not everyone wants to, needs to, or can go to a T14 school for law. if the guy (who scored a 144) is proud of what he has accomplished, and is happy going to the school that he has chosen, who are you to bash him?

This is true. It's also filled with blindly optimistic people who think that odds, statistics, and hard data don't apply to them.Holynorth wrote:This forum is filled with elitist assholes who don't understand how the world works. 157 --> 164 --> 172! I'm still in shock! It all seems so damn unreal.

Re: Feb Waiters: is TODAY the DAY? [New Poll]
I got myself a 150! I know it's low, but considering I scored a 144 on my October test, I'll take the 20 percentile point improvement. I'm not trying for T14 or even Tier 1. Santa Clara is my #1 choice, and with my high GPA and strong LORs and PS, my chances of admission went up today.
Congrats to everyone! I was panicking the past few days as well.

Re: Feb Waiters: is TODAY the DAY? [New Poll]
It's always fun to watch these threads on release day and know the majority of you falsify your score. 99% of test takers score below 170 yet almost all of you claim to be in that range. Since I am not fortunate enough to be in the 170s, please explain the flaw in my reasoning.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
