Ahh, well that's really good about LG and RC! Hopefully you did break into the 170's, I'd like to see that for you!34iplaw wrote:I'm fairly convinced I got -0 on LG.Mikey wrote:how'd it go for you bro?34iplaw wrote:
I felt good about RC and wouldn't be shocked for my current trend of -1 to -2 on RC.
One LR I'd be shocked at over -2. Other I could see up to -4. Pretty confident in cracking 170 this time, but the curve could be less friendly. Depends how people did on game 3 and game 4.

The feelings I'm seeing are that if you "got" this LG section you crushed it. So if you're feeling good you probably did go -0. Congrats!34iplaw wrote:I'm fairly convinced I got -0 on LG.Mikey wrote:how'd it go for you bro?34iplaw wrote:

Different? Much easier RC. Games seem to be two camps: MOD EDIT: DON'T TALK ABOUT WHAT KINDS OF GAMES WERE ON THE TESTCHyde wrote:Curious as to what folks think this curve will be...
Harder, easier, or the same as 79 for my retakers?

Same. I will say that a six section test is not remotely tiring anymore. Def recommend doing two four section PTs split by brief break. I kinda wish I prepped more. I mainly took this bc I was averaging 173-176 or so in the week or so leading up. I wanted to apply this cycle if possible. If not, always sept. I just need that like 171-173 threshold.Mikey wrote:Ahh, well that's really good about LG and RC! Either way, going full speed ahead with intent of applying as if I get in the 170s. Also going to wrap that site up and get it live soon. I'm actually talking with manhattan prep tomorrow about it

Re: The Official December 2016 Waiters Group
September and December taker here.
I thought this was definitely easier than September. Rawls was the hardest passage I thought and it was first, but I'm a political science major so I didn't think it was difficult, and it wasn't close to the same league as Gray. I thought one LR was really easy with the other slightly harder than average, and thought both LR in September were pretty average. Game 3 was a huge freaking time sink and left me with 4 minutes for the buildings, but Game 4 was literally just understanding one thing, and 3 was doable if you made one or two key inferences, which I made neither under pressure.
Got a 164 in September and expect a 168-172 this time around.

Fingers crossed. My only concern is I basically answered every question in the same way. I guess that is how all lg work. I'm running under the assumption that I got it b/c if there was another layer on top of what I discovered that was necessary, it seems unreasonable.theboringest wrote:The feelings I'm seeing are that if you "got" this LG section you crushed it. I had the same order as you, and share your thoughts about exactly. First passage got me, games 3 and 4 were difficult, one of my LR seemed harder than the other twocianchetta0 wrote:I had LR RC LR LG LR, which was the exact setup at September. I think the December LG as a whole was more difficult, games 3 and 4. For some reason the first passage of RC tripped me up. LR was nothing ordinary but that last section, I was just burnt out. Pretty bummed right, I don't think I beat my Sept scorestudyingeveryday wrote:For those retaking, how was this compared to September? Any weird games or terrible passages?

I'm sure you did very well! You think you aced what most people are saying was difficult, so I think you will be fine!34iplaw wrote:Same. For logic games did the section include a game about research teams with a facilitator?
If so I need to cancel my score, feel OK about the rest of the test, my brain just shut down for the fifth section.

Re: The Official December 2016 Waiters Group
Had someone at Pace who wouldn't put down his pencil when time ran up for the writing sample. Why risk it?!?? Also had a loud fan problem that I didn't notice until someone told me that there sounds like music in the BG. Then, I couldn't stop noticing it. I also had a broken light on top of me, and the testing facilitator messed up and gave us a 2 min. warning rather than 5 for one section
.
Had LR RC LR LG LR. Felt super happy going into the break. Came back and got wrecked by Games 3 & 4 (not as bad as viruses, but I now have another reason to hate art). Felt mentally broken going into the last section for LR -- hoping it is the experimental.
At any rate, hello February!

Re: The Official December 2016 Waiters Group
Anyone else find it curious that we now have to fill out a questionarie about if we use a tablet, touch screen phone etc and if wed feel comfortable writing an essay on a computer? Sounds like the lsat is trying to move to become digital. Maybe this was on the sept test but first time i noticed it (took the feb test)

Re: The Official December 2016 Waiters Group
Hi folks - quick mod reminder asking you to
1) read the rules at the top of the LSAT forum about what can/can't be discussed about the content of the test,
2) please don't describe what kinds of logic games were on the test ("matinee times" is fine, "sequencing game" is not), and
3) please don't discuss the writing sample topic (abundance of caution, blah blah blah).
Providing too much detail may subject you to a ban. (And for the record, TLS/the mods personally couldn't care less about what you discuss where or when, but LSAC does observe this site and will get cranky with us if discussion goes beyond what the rules allow.)
Thanks.

Hopefully they do go digital, though I'd be interested to see how they go about accomplishing it. I'm in IT and all of the certs I have taken were computerized, but the testing centers are built for that very purpose. Now the wait begins
It was really interesting to hear everyone writing for the essay section...haven't head the sound of so many pencils in a long time.

That would be great, there would be no need for a one month purgatory until results are released.BOSStongrl wrote:r? Sounds like the lsat is trying to move to become digital
I also didn't realize until writing that essay how atrophied the writing muscles in my hand have become...

It's not like they'd be blazing new trails. Both TOEFL and GRE are computerized iirctheGrinch wrote:Hopefully they do go digital, though I'd be interested to see how they go about accomplishing it.
