Checking in folks.
I took the Feb and June test. I really sucked at both, and I am taking my last one in September. I really wish I could find a local LSAT study group... just for the motivation. I am so bad at not studying for anything. It is a serious problem.

I'm really wanting a 160. I know that is less than what most on here are shooting for, but I am not trying to go to T14. I just want to go to LSU.BillPackets wrote:Whaddya shooting for?KAYCEE wrote:Checking in folks.

LSU looks decent for working in LA. Looks like 160 with the right GPA will get you $$$$. Where are you at right now with PTing?KAYCEE wrote:I'm really wanting a 160. My GPA also sucks. I dropped out of school one whole year (like didn't actually drop, I quit going). I just started back studying... I made a 145 on my last LSAT. Am I doomed??BillPackets wrote:LSU looks decent for working in LA. Looks like 160 with the right GPA will get you $$$$. Where are you at right now with PTing?KAYCEE wrote:I'm really wanting a 160. Just to follow up- you aren't doomed bc of your score
But it does take dedicated time to increase 15+ points

Hello all, checking in. I'm retaking in Sept. after a dismal June score.
I'm using the LSAT trainer and PTs.. if anyone wants to form a study group I'm game. I'm thinking having a community in the same boat is really going to help boost morale. Last time the roommates and friends on summer break nearly broke my determination. NEVER AGAIN. Just say no to fun for 6-ish weeks. Just say no.
Happy studying!

Lol. Maybe
Mostly, I feel like LSU is the best school in LA. I know Tulane is technically "better" in terms of rank, but everyone living here like LSU better. I think Tulane would be better if one was to practice out of state.
Lol. Maybe

Don't hate (I've done that enough) but I really haven't been doing much of that. I think that is why I scored so low on my other LSAT. I maybe studied a week. I just started studying for real last week. I have been going over the offical LSAT prep book from LSAC a little, but mostly going through Powerscore.BillPackets wrote:no one is doomed. how have you been studying?KAYCEE wrote:

If I study 2-3 hours per day from now until September test, you think that will be good? How much time usually equates to a 160?

Even Tulane probably won't take you out of state. Common knowledge on TLS is that most all schools outside t14 Are pretty regional.

Another thing is, I'm taking 21 hours this fall and clepping out of 18. I've already clepped out of 2; so, I have 4 more.

I'm sorry, but I highly highly doubt you will raise 15 points in a month. Maybe like 5-8. Definitely not for 2-3 hours a day. That's sorta normal around here. Lately, I've been studying 8-9 hours a day, and I think I may have increased my score 2 points in the past couple weeks. How you work is important, but you can't just say "well if I put in 500 hours I'll make a 180" otherwise everyone would do it.

No, probably not. You should hold off until December. Don't waste your third take if you arent ready.

Tbh it is diff for everyone, you really just have to gauge your progress- as vague as that sounds it's really the only way to put itKAYCEE wrote:Colonel_funkadunk wrote:Just to follow up- you aren't doomed bc of your score

You dont understand. You need to take it in December. Going to LSU with no $$$ is moronic. The point of that post was to show you that its not easy to gain points. Most people here study for 2-3 hours a day, but I highly doubt anyone is still increasing at the rate you're wanting to increase.KAYCEE wrote:Thanks for all the replies everyone.
