I forgot how to spell restaurants in the middle of half-assing the writing sample, so instead I just talked about all the "eateries" that the district could bring in with lower taxes and toll roads. When I read it back to myself I sounded like a two bit real estate developer. Maybe I'll get elected president.

Agreed here. If I was giving star ratings, I'd hit RC with a 4 out of 5, LR(25Q) 3.5 out of 5, LR(26Q) 2 out of 5, and LG 1 (or 0) out of 5.dm1683 wrote:I slightly disagree. usually they'll have an easy, medium and hard section. Seriously, I can't get over how easy the LG section was. I've done close to 50 games sections in my time with the LSAT, and I honestly think it might have been the easiest I've ever seen.

Hah...so I apparently made the assumption that only shopping/retail would happening at the shopping center, not eating. That would have been an interesting addition for me to tear apart.HenryHankPalmer wrote:I forgot how to spell restaurants in the middle of half-assing the writing sample, so instead I just talked about all the "eateries" that the district could bring in with lower taxes and toll roads. You can't imagine how hard I laughed at this.
Also, whatever happened to that Gorsuch guy who scored 180 on every other test? He was pretty clearly the champ as far as stats in the study thread, I wanna hear how he thought it went.

It's interesting how people's brains work differently. I felt more confident in RC than my LR, and perhaps this is because my first section (LR experimental) seemed so foreign.Future Ex-Engineer wrote:Agreed here. Re: June 2017 Waiters Thread
It was kind of a leap on my part. The prompt said that it would be an increased in retail, and I just imagined that increased traffic and $ to a shopping center would bring restaurants and other types of businesses to the district. I didn't put a lot of effort into this. I generally pride myself on being a good writer, but by the time the writing sample rolled around I was devoid of all motivation.Future Ex-Engineer wrote:Hah...so I apparently made the assumption that only shopping/retail would happening at the shopping center, not eating. I thought RC was by far the easiest section, but then again, I'm an English major/ABD.
Q26 LR was also easy, but I struggled with many of the questions on the Q25 one.

I'm late to the conversation on test day quirkiness, but I got seated next to a guy who wore a full suit, tie, and latex surgical gloves throughout the test. I'm sure that there might be a medical necessity for the gloves, but for the life of me I can't figure out what. I was mildly worried that he was a hitman. Also, an LSAT taking couple was in my testing center, talking about how they were gonna go to Harvard together. One of their parents came into the center to take a picture of them going into the room together. They looked and acted exactly how you are probably picturing them.

i read half the prompt, wrote a semi relevant rant about regressive taxes and representing constituents, wrote a conclusion, read the second half of the prompt, then added that in a new paragraph.

The cute couple, not going to last when they don't get into Harvard together... I'm also slightly bitter and jaded about couples and happy endings. Made the decision on LSAT/Law School/Further Ensuring self sufficiency because I'm tired of getting the "Anyone would be lucky to be with you but..." line... Fuck that, after 16 years of dating I've resigned myself to the fate that it's going to be just me and law school is a good way to pass the time, not be that stereotype at the bar all the time, and building on my career thus far to ensure that I have a solid chance of employment no matter what. Guess I'm having a reverse Elle Woods theme, law school because I don't have a guy versus to try and get back a guy...
