Re: Feb 2017 Waiter's Thread!!!
I feel like a neglected child as a February taker. Nobody seems to give a shit about this test. I'm expecting LSAC to be no different. I just want my score.

I skimmed it and saw the all caps post plus ppl reacting. Was enough to get the blood flowing lolchrysippusofsoli wrote:You must be talking about that silly reddit post. For some reason I had a feeling the guy's post was a hoax, but I still checked nonetheless. Wasn't surprised to see everything still green.maybeman wrote:I've been so excited to get my score this past 3 weeks, but now that it's actually close I'm insanely anxious. This process is straight up making me more religious. Some dip on a thread I was reading lied we went grey and sent me for a spin
We're almost there guys! Good luck to all, I'll be recovering from some serious damage to my nerves once this is over.

Thank you to those who have given me encouragement about finding a dog-friendly apartment!!
I'm definitely okay with living a little farther out/away from campus, so that does open more doors (hopefully).

Every time someone posts in this thread this week I will assume that we have gone grey.

Tomorrow's my birthday, I can't get a bad score on my birthday. And I'm turning 28 - officially, too old for this.

Re: Feb 2017 Waiter's Thread!!!
A small part of me actually had a feeling it would be today. Only the start of the window...but resigning myself to a Wednesday release (which is what I've thought all along but now that this week is here I want it now).

It doesn't get any better with age. I'm 30. If I am able to sit for the June test, I'll be 31...and then when I finally start school I'll be 33.aalvez wrote:Tomorrow's my birthday, I can't get a bad score on my birthday. And I'm turning 28 - officially, too old for this.
All of that being said, I'm putting a 2013 bottle of Goose Island Sofie in the fridge. That beer is supposed to bottle condition for up to five years, so I have a stash that I save for special occasions with the oldest bottles being from 2013. If I score within my target range (or above), I will enjoy it in triumph. If I didn't score within range, I'll probably drink it as a consolation prize.

So does the probability that it will be tomorrow increase now that it didn't happen today?

Yup--it takes the percentage chance of a 2/27 release and redistributes it to the remaining daysairwrecka wrote:So does the probability that it will be tomorrow increase now that it didn't happen today?

Re: Feb 2017 Waiter's Thread!!!
I would say yes because the 20% probability of it being today has to be distributed among the next 3 days so I would say the probabilities will look like this:airwrecka wrote:So does the probability that it will be tomorrow increase now that it didn't happen today?
Tuesday: 30
Wednesday: 60
Thursday: 10
But it could be:
Tuesday: 35
Wednesday: 60
Thursday: 5

These are weak estimates. Real American estimates look more like this:Law2020hopeful wrote:I would say yes because the 20% probability of it being today has to be distributed among the next 3 days so I would say the probabilities will look like this:airwrecka wrote:So does the probability that it will be tomorrow increase now that it didn't happen today?

Wednesday: 60
Thursday: 5
Tue: 100%
Wed: 0%
Thu: 0%

I threw out some last second applications this afternoon and lsac hasn't processed yet. The optimist in me hopes it's because they're running around about to release scores...

Re: Feb 2017 Waiter's Thread!!!
Just since it was discussed above, now that today is pretty much done for here are the new percentages I just posted:
Tue, 2/28: 40%
Wed, 3/1: 55%
Thu, 3/2: 5%
It's obviously really close between Tuesday and Wednesday. I still think Wednesday is more likely, and I'm receiving no word that contradicts that, but if they appeared tomorrow it wouldn't be a big surprise. Let's hope so—the sooner they get released, the better!
