NOTE TO ALL FEBRUARY WAITERS: READ THE RULES BELOW AND CONSIDER WHETHER YOUR POSTING HAS CONFORMED WITH THEM.
I'm about to go through this thread and check what people have posted. Bans and deletions may be forthcoming.

This is a warning. This is likely your only warning; you are unlikely to receive any further warnings.
Please be advised that discussion or solicitation (including, but not limited to, PMs and online chatrooms) of any questions or answers from the February 2016 LSAT with anything more than an extremely broad level of specificity will result in a temporary or permanent ban. This may include a permanent ban on your IPs if necessary, which will block you from even viewing the TLS forums. Permanent IP address bans for LSAT discussion have been issued in the past.
Examples have been included for your reference below. This is not an exhaustive list. It is not a defense to say that your overly-specific discussion of an LSAT question did not exactly mirror one of the examples - you will still be banned. Linking to other online materials/discussion of the LSAT questions is also prohibited.
Please note that you agreed not to discuss specific LSAT questions and answers when you completed your signing statement when taking the test. The LSAC considers it a violation to discuss specific questions and answers; the LSAC will act accordingly upon discovering discussion of specific questions and answers.
Be advised that the LSAC and its agents monitor this board.

3. No, the order is ACDBBE. Ban.

5. You guys are stupid. The answer to Question Four and Five is D. Ban.
6. No, the answers are CDAABE. Ban.
7. C'mon guys. How can you not know all of the answers? Ban.

12. It's just a cost problem in general. If you were a coffee grower, the legal pesticides would, hypothetically, cost more. Ban.
13. Whoa, it's just like Question 13 from the second LR section in PT 39. Ban.
14. Guys, maybe we should create a chatroom to discuss this. I started one: tinychat.com/letscheatontheLSAT Ban.

Was there a question about highway repair and costs in addition to a question on electronic tolls?

I remember questions about both of those things.

I don't see the point in cancelling a score cause it still counts as a take either way. If you're early in the process, just retake in the future. If you're going in fall & (hopefully) have some acceptances by now, what's to lose? besides you're probably being too hard on yourself
Shib26 wrote:mm89 wrote:So I need you guys to tell me to not cancel my score.
Don't cancel your score. Seriously, you probably did much better than you currently feel.
This is my third take. I'm against cancelling but after section 4 I honestly felt like I had done worse. My only concern is with getting a lower score. I'm slowly convincing myself that I am not going to score lower but I'm still unsure.

The good news is that it's not a big deal if you score a bit lower this time because law schools really only care about your high score. I wish Mike Spivey was around because he would confirm this as well, but he and I talked about it for an article I wrote a few months back:
http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/should- ... -agree-yes. That might help ease your concern just a bit. If there's a chance you might have done better, I'd keep it. The only way I wouldn't was if you knew for sure it would be lower.

Let's say I was sure that I scored lower but didn't cancel. Would that make that much of a difference for admissions?

If you knew for sure that you had a lower score, why keep it? There's no benefit. But, let's say you thought there was a chance you might to better but came in, say, 3 points lower. It won't matter. The high score is what they use these days, and that's all they really care about.

Indeed, it doesn't matter at all. In years past we used to have big post-LSAT parties where everyone indulged heavily. It was always a good time, and after the test is over the number one thing you hear people say is that they need a drink. I support that decision

Hey Dave. I'm a powerscore student. We have talked before in that forum about applying to Duke. I have a 3.93/164 and have been accepted to Berkeley, Uva, Michigan and a few other t14. I didn't feel good about this test today. If I score 3 points lower (161), do you think it would hurt my scholarship opportunities?? I know I don't have much of a chance for merit aid regardless, so I don't want to ruin any chance of getting 45-60k at a t14 (assuming I get lucky). Thanks for your time as always. Powerscore raised my score almost 20 points!

Hey J, good to talk to you again! No, it won't make a difference. When you already have a score and then retake the test, they know what you are trying to do, and they don't penalize you for the attempt. Most adcomms I've talked to about it would just ignore that score and proceed off the 164. The thinking is that you achieved the 164 so you have that capability, and besides, the 164 is the score they have to report so the other score doesn't matter to them.

This is random but why is t14 the ideal as opposed to say, t15 or t20? Why 14

Honestly surprised everyone is saying they found LG to be easy.
I had LG experimental and was hoping that the first one was experimental. Completely destroyed the experimental. But the real one, the one about furniture, completely destroyed me.
I never do that badly on LG. I finished everything else with time to spare. But the LG section murdered me. I already cancelled my December score, and I'm considering doing it again.
But I feel like there's no point. Was aiming for a 168, but there's little chance I got that. Should I just suck it up and wait to take again in June? I feel like canceling my score twice, is just stupid.
