I on the other hand am always afraid that I might be missing something, so I'm tempted to try every answer choice before moving on to the next question.
Don't worry, it'll come with time and practice. When I first started off, I had to double check every single answer choice even if the choice A was the correct choice. Watch 7Sage videos on every LG you do and take note of every inferences he points out. Inferences along with the rules will test your comfortability with the could/must be true/false, if conditionals, etc.

Yeah I've been watching all the videos even though 1) they're super long, and 2) it's irritating to struggle with a game and then see that all the questions are 1 star "easy" questions and hear that it should only take 5 minutes.

I'm taking a break for tonight because I can't focus and am just wasting material. Reviewing these games, one of them I didn't even answer all the questions and somehow I didn't even notice. On another, I chose an answer that was disproven by the hypo I wrote right next to it. LG is making me lose my mind.

How long do you guys wait before drilling a game again? Do you think 48 hours would be sufficient?

And yeah I agree being naturally good at RC is awesome. I should be grateful that I'm terrible only at LG and not one of the sections that's even harder to improve on.

By tomorrow I'll have 27 simple linear games that I haven't seen for at least 48 hours, so I'll try to redo as many of those as possible. The 7sage videos show how important it is to truly master the basics, so I'm going to focus on that.

I personally can't redo LG problems because even if I no longer remembered the correct answer, I'd still have some working memory of the steps to take, the eliminated answers, and so on. If your goal is to master the basics and also to avoid "remembering" (even if it's not consciously, your mind still remembers), I suggest replacing and reversing some of the elements and working through the games. Sure, you won't have multiple choice answers to work through but your goal isn't to choose the correct answer but to master the basics and you don't need to rely on the provided, possible answers for that.

eh although it is true you want to really get down the basics and work on inferences, redoing games is great. Making inferences in games and diagramming is a very repetitive thing throughout all games as every game repeats itself in a slightly different form. So by redoing games you start working on that muscle memory with your brain with making inferences. Obviously if you are doing the question and you remember B is the answer you dont just pick it, but you do through and think why you put what you do. if you through up a not-block or put theres only 2 spots D can go make sure you know what makes that the right thing to do other than "I remembered JY doing that" although it seems like it wont be too helpful redoing games is great

Remembering things is a major worry (I literally dreamed about logic games and can remember one of the important inferences from last night), so maybe I'll institute a 72 hour waiting period and work on something else today. Perhaps I'll do the LRs and RC from one of the PTs I used for LG drilling.

Someone should make a website that generates disguised logic games by rearranging the answer choices and changing the variable names and background situation. I'd pay money for that.

I think I'm going to include regular LR and RC sections in the LG part of my prep. Today I did some and they were a bit rough... this was during Christmas festivities with people making noise and trying to talk to me, but still, I felt rather rusty.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Started grouping games today. I might like these a little better than linear ones. Less spatial stuff, more conditional logic.

Made an LSAC account and it turns out that my school isn't hosting a test site this June (or maybe it's sold out already? is that possible?). Now I'm really not sure what to do.

That sucks, maybe you could take it back home? That's what I'm doing. Even if it's not "reputable," it might be a fine testing location. Ideally, you could find someone who's taken at that location and ask them how it was (that's what I did, but this was like 2 years ago when I was first considering law school).

Alternatively, you could search for the nearest administration to your school, and book a hotel nearby?

I ended up going with the test center in my home city. There was another one available in the same city as my college, but it was almost exactly the same as the test center available here at home (both in terms of what the host colleges are like and how convenient it would be for me to travel there), so I decided I might as well just take it at home and not have to worry about food or housing.

I'm guessing this center will be fine. I went to that college numerous times during high school, so I'm not totally unfamiliar with it, and I'll have all of May to take PTs there.

It's odd that my school wasn't available. It's on the list of regular test centers for June, but it doesn't appear in searches. It's possible that it's sold out, but in the listings there is an "available" column, which makes me think that sold out centers still appear in the search results but just have "unavailable" beside them. Weird.

I definitely won't be staying until June at my school so will have to take it back home -- not worried about the test center though, as the location/building doesn't really bother me much

(and not sure how I feel about some of you drilling during Christmas)

Haha, I was kinda impressed. It's like, fuck we've got over 5 months left, and some people are still drilling on Christmas--Damn!

\o/~ Good on you man, since it's pushing you to actually do shit. A while back, after getting wrecked by every passage and virtually every question in a section, I just noped out--took a break since I felt so lost that real improvement seemed impossible :/
