I've noticed that I've been missing Sufficient Assumption questions a lot.

About to go through the whole Cambridge packet again. It's only 55 questions or something.

SA questions in the more recent Preptests seem to be a lot harder.

I've noticed though (off two questions) the right answer simply connects two different ideas within the stimulus.

All other answer choices are completely off topic or try to connect things that don't need to be connected.

I'm just drilling logic games until my brain hurts today. I don't think I can do a practice test and I've gotten slower at them since I was focused on logical reasoning lately, which I find is remedied by just drilling them until I start remembering how the LSAT hides inferences which is what slows me down most usually.

Yes, I think what makes them difficult is confusing yourself by trying to find similar language in the answer choices when a perhaps more general idea that connects the two premises is the correct answer (often the more attractive one contradicts or doesn't fill the gap at all, I've found, but just sounds pretty).

It's official! I am taking the LSAT 4 months from tomorrow.

I haven't looked at anything LSAT-related in nearly two weeks but I am back at it tomorrow! My stress levels are at an absolute low. I've basically just been going to graduation parties, spending time with my gf, relaxing, moving people out, and just chilling out. I am now excited to get back to LSAT stuff tomorrow as all my friends are gone so I can go back to studying without guilt that I would be choosing a pretest over seeing people I may never see again. Good to see that everyone is keeping at it! I'll see some of you in the Sept study thread!

Manhattan LSAT ftw. Thank God for Noodley's guide.

Can someone tell me if I'm burning out? I've also been doing LG all day long since I woke up at 5 this morning and, I didn't get a lot of sleep, but I was a lot sharper in the morning. Now I'm disinterested and sluggish when I do a timed section.

Time to take the rest of the day off?

Btw, I'm gonna pull my hair out if I see something like the PT 35 show room game (leather interior, power windows, etc).

I feel great about normal conditional in-out games, other grouping games, and linear games, but it's really the pure sequencing games and those odd games that drive me nuts.

5am!? Take a nap or something haha. I've been at it since noon and it's 4:30 and am pretty tired I might go for a run or something. You've probably hit the point of diminishing returns now.

Haven't posted much, but I'm pumped for June. I seem to be stuck at a 167 PT average, mainly due to Parallel Reasoning on LR and inconsistency on RC. Ahhhh!

Confused. Some PTs have the games on 4 pgs and some on 8. What can we expect to see on the real thing?

Just bought volume v from amazon, so I should be able to get them all done before test day. Anyone else taking summer classes while prepping? Taking an upper level bio course while prepping is really stressing me out.

Since June of 2012 (PrepTest 66) (LinkRemoved), games sections have spanned 8 pages. LSAC has confirmed that this will remain the formatting going forward.

Feeling completely and utterly discouraged. Averagingb 164, but need 167+ to feel really good about getting off my waitlist. Been studying for weeks/months and only improved 3 points. No matter what I'm taking the test but I'm just feeling really down about my lack of stronger improvement. I've never hit 170.

Anyone else find this one (and/or the other most recent tests) particularly hard? Not encouraging with only two weeks to go.
Yes! I have posted this in the retake forum a couple times, but PT 62 is THE hardest LSAT test I have taken (and I've taken nearly all of them multiple times). Unusually hard RC, unusually hard LG, and two 26-question LR sections. It is mentally draining and works to your weaknesses no matter what they are. Do not feel discouraged.

And Leigh, don't feel discouraged either. I remember reading in one of the forums a few months ago about someone who was averaging in the low 170s/high 160s and scored a 180 on test day! Their previous high was like a 174. Anything is possible and you just have to take things one day at a time and look at the positives rather than the negatives. Your improvements might not be as drastic as you were hoping for, but a 3 point average increase is nothing to be ashamed of.

Keep up the good work everyone and stay positive!

I struggled with this test too. The LG didn't really give me fits, but I found the LR and RC extremely challenging. The space exploration question was one of the more difficult LR questions that I've ever encountered.

Just as an FYI, each newer LG section is on two pages instead of one so you won't have to worry about having no space to diagram in June.

I took PT 62 yesterday and had the same experience. I went-5 on RC, -3 and -5 on LR and got crushed by the games. RC is worrying for me since that's usually my strong suit; I felt good at the start of the section but totally ran out of time and had to skim/make smart guesses on the last passage.

I really need to drill LG to make sure I don't get thrown off again so badly. I'm going through the previous book of PTs (52-61) and doing entire timed sections now instead of individual games. And I need to find a way to speed up on RC and LR. I'm regularly missing 2-3 questions at the end of each section that I'm not even giving myself a shot at. It's just so tough to speed up without sacrificing accuracy.

I've been averaging in the upper 160s but a few PTs ago out of the blue I hit a 172. I didn't even complete two of the sections. I'm willing to bet that the people who outscore their PT average on test day are the ones who are well-prepared; preparedness gives you a framework you can use to channel the adrenaline/nerves. So keep at it--big jumps in improvement are possible.

May be a dumb question, but what is the newest PT available? 71? And what test # will we be taking, 73? Is there a reason 72 is not available?

Thanks

February is undisclosed test. We are currently up to 71, and will be taking 72 in June :)
