Got 4 hours of sleep followed by a 6hr car drive then work... sorry, low tolerance for immaturity atm, its just frustrating when people trying to look for advice posted ITT have so shift their crap... I shall try to relax, 1 more hr till I get to sleep

Honestly, out of any profession outside of professional comedy, lawyers are very quick witted and relish pushing boundaries when they sense they are getting to someone.
Yes, this has been a supportive environment and will continue to be a supportive environment.

My metaphor was meant for a whole host of trials and tribulations--not limited to this instance.
We all have bad PT's. The LSAT is very stressful, but so is the legal profession.
I think a supportive community that isn't ALL BUSINESS ALL THE TIME can be a good thing to let steam off.

I definitely agree, and we often do have non-LSAT convos ITT but what the waiters are posting is a bit different

I definitely don't endorse everything the waiters say despite being on friendly terms with them outside of this thread.
A good portion of the waiters will probably retake in December though, so this thread isn't and shouldn't be off limits to them. I also think they're all very capable of giving good advice so long as they're not turned off by hostile retorts.

Never said they're not allowed here and I know they can give good advice, Ive seen it. But I know that more than just myself doesn't really think it is worth having to go through pages of ridiculousness

I have a question about formal logic and quantifiers, like some As are Bs.

I'm confused as to when you can actually reverse a chain. If you have a long chain that looks like this:
C-some->F->D->E.

You can say "Some Es are Cs." If you reverse everything, it would say:
E-some->D-some->F-some->C, wouldn't it?

How does that work into some Es are Cs? What if only 1 E is a D and 1 D is an F and so on? There's no guarantee of overlap. Do I have the reversed chain wrong?

I always get messed up with diagramming like this.. I tend to avoid it (maybe should look into it) it always confuses me... I read that as some C's are E's instead of other way around but like I said I dont normally get conditionals written out like that

C some F--->D from this we can infer: C some D
C some D which can be combined with the other chain to get :
C some D----->E from which we can infer:
C some E
It's just a chain of some + all = some

Edit: D--->E is a conditional statement ( well I assume so because that is usually how u diagram them ) so D-->E means all D are E.

And I agree that the Septembers have a right to be here if they so choose. But I also feel like it's not helping me personally when they say things like "Good luck handing in late apps. Smart people take in September." Yes, it might be true that December is pushing it with apps... but I'm stressed as it is and I don't need people reminding me of that while I'm concentrating on LSAT prep.
