I'm just eager to hit that 1 week mark tomorrow. I feel like this week has been a drag.theugg wrote:Woo. Friday.

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
I've enjoyed this week. Actually have been mildly productive with PS editing + other application work. Plus I've settled into the cadence of fall and football.nlee10 wrote:I'm just eager to hit that 1 week mark tomorrow. I feel like this week has been a drag.theugg wrote:Woo. Friday.

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
For sure. I watched The Martian/had some awesome food on sunday, then went to seattle tue morning-wed night, and worked out the logistics of my PS/application yesterday. So I did a good amount of moving around this week but time still felt slow. hehEnderWiggin wrote:I've enjoyed this week. Actually have been mildly productive with PS editing + other application work. In June, I distinctly remember the first week being the worst - and then at some point I basically forgot I was in waiter purgatory, and was actually caught off guard by the email from LSAC...EnderWiggin wrote:I've enjoyed this week. I switch between android and apple every couple years but currently apple since I also have a MacBook Pro and an iPad.SirArthurDayne wrote:New poll question: Apple or Android?nlee10 wrote:New day, new poll.
I've always had an android, and although I don't think Android is much that much better, I think Apple owners are definitely drinking the Kool-Aid.

The new Microsoft products look pretty nice....but it'll have to impress me if I have to leave my Mac ecosystem.

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
June wait was terrible. But that's probably the same for most any first time taker. I'd like to think the sweltering heat and the notification in the waiters thread of an impending score release that turned out to be a false flag also had something to do with it though.ltbenn wrote: In June, I distinctly remember the first week being the worst - and then at some point I basically forgot I was in waiter purgatory, and was actually caught off guard by the email from LSAC...

I've decided to ignore any confidence I felt and assume I have a bad score. I'd rather be surprised than disappointed.TheProdigal wrote:Slowly making peace with how poor my score will be.

Yeah, third take for me. I don't get to have that solace.SirArthurDayne wrote:I've pretty much accepted this. I've always been a plan for the worse kind of guy. Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
i may or may not have made an excel workbook called "hypos," where I made tabs for every number between my June score and 174, in each one is a list of the schools I'm considering, color-coded by likelihood of acceptance with that score, and one school's name is written in red (the absolute worst case scenario).splitterfromhell wrote:Does anyone else keep running through best-case/worst-case scenarios about score/curve in their head?
sometimes I just stare at it blankly - it's strangely calming.

also i sometimes will spend hours hunting for apartments near my lower-choice schools - and possibly ikea-furnishing them...ltbenn wrote:i may or may not have made an excel workbook called "hypos," where I made tabs for every number between my June score and 174, in each one is a list of the schools I'm considering, color-coded by likelihood of acceptance with that score, and one school's name is written in red (the absolute worst case scenario).splitterfromhell wrote:Does anyone else keep running through best-case/worst-case scenarios about score/curve in their head?
