Lol good find. It really looks like they just randomly get games from a database which has them separated by difficulty. The sequence of pts doesn't really seem to be much relevant when it comes to games. I guess you could say that they are more back ended nowadays.dosto wrote:Game 3 is extremely similar to the computer/printer game from PT1 of all places, which goes to show it might be wise to run through some older games in case they go retro on us (in/out games with subcategories come to mind).Hotguy wrote:First time i did game 3 for pt68 it striked me as unusual. Yeah that's true. If I were to guess, I would think we will be getting some hard games on Saturday, just to throw us off.dosto wrote:I've noticed a few trends in rule types that came and went, but yeah not much regarding games themselves. Re: December 2013 Retakers
I found 64, 68, and 69 the hardest of the recent tests. 70 wasn’t so bad. And zones (67) was okay, though i can imagine the shock oct 2012 test takers musta felt seeing such a weird game.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
My overall score for PT68 was 171 (LR1 −3, LR2 −3, RC −4, LG −1) with two ridiculously stupid/obvious errors. While this is below my PT average (174), I’m taking it because it was a proctored, library exam that I last saw in January.
Anyone else lowered their threshold? I was “180 or bust” a month ago, now I’m “171 and up is cool."

I just took PT 68 and also scored a 171.OVOXO wrote:My overall score for PT68 was 171 (LR1 −3, LR2 −3, RC −4, LG −1) with two ridiculously stupid/obvious errors. While this is below my PT average (174), I’m taking it because it was a proctored, library exam that I last saw in January.

RC:-3
LR:-3
LR:-2
LG:-3
This is disappointing because I thought I did better than -8 on LR+RC. Also, LG was heartbreaking because I breezed through first three games and got owned by the open-endedness of the last game (silly mistakes, wtf moments, let-me-waste-time-trying-to-infer-something-that-isn't-to-be-inferred-moments, etc.). Plus, I got a phone call in the last 5 minutes of the last game.
And the funny thing is, I'd still take a 171 on the real deal.
I am totally cool with 171 or higher but I'd love to get 172+ as an official score just to be in that 99th percentile.
Speaking of which, I'm still baffled at the good amount of people here that retake scores 170+. I understand that this is the overachieving TLS community but, damn, at that point I'd need to have a sub 3.0 gpa to justify taking the exam again regardless of how much mastery I have over the material. I mean, are we trying to become lawyers or are we more concerned with saying FU to the LSAC?

Retaking a 170+ is more like a why not if I know I can do better mentality I think.
Btw dosto, I hope it's a hard one instead of an unusual one...

Re: December 2013 Retakers
I'm retaking for the couple schools where I barely have a chance with my GPA + Oct LSAT aka Columbia & UChi. Those schools do take splitters, but there's an inverse relationship between GPA and LSAT score among splitters there. Average LSAT for those accepted last year at Columbia with my GPA was ~176.retaking23 wrote:Speaking of which, I'm still baffled at the good amount of people here that retake scores 170+. Also, the very, very slight chance for H/S.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
PT 70 (a.k.a. why couldn't I do this well in October?) The slashes are the difference between 35 minutes and 30 (35 mins/ 30 mins). I'm trying to push my limits, and hopefully I won't be as stressed on test day
Exp LR (1998) -3/-5
LR1 -3/-5
RC -4/-6 (My housemates picked this section to blast music...)
LG -1/-1
LR2 -2/-3
Scaled Score 91/86
Converted score 171/167
This is my second 170+ score in a row. I'm a little concerned with my 30 minute score, but a lot of the corrections I made were in the first two minutes, and I didn't get any answers that I changed wrong. The whole distraction thing was present too. I took my break to move to the library, so I got a little extra time, but I don't think it changed things too much. The LSAT Trainer works wonders. I love flaw questions now
Two 170+ PT scores in a row guys!

same. Re: December 2013 Retakers
Anybody else have trouble with 69 1.22? I don't believe the answer is obvious at all, which makes it a tougher question, but the flaw is fairly noticeable looking at it again. I made a post about it at MLSAT because I think it could be illuminating, particularly in regards to how tricky causal argument questions can get on the LSAT nowadays (I've seen other people comment on it too).

omg 180! (on a retake though)...but my RC timing is a bit shaky, and I think the reason I was able to get perfect is because unconsciously I knew the answers.
PT 66
LR1 -0
LR2 -0
LG -1
RC -0
EXP (RC PT 28) -0
99/100 for 180!
good confidence booster but HIGHLY skeptical. But now I know how it SHOULD feel when you kill the test -- you KNOW what the answer it (without remembering) through logic... sadly I doubt this is reflective of what will happen on saturday :S

Even if you account for an 8 point retake boost or something crazy like that, it's still a fantastic score. And the RC exp was fresh, right? Honestly, fresh or not, my RC scores are almost the same. The difference is in how fast I process the passages.esther0123 wrote:omg 180! Sadly no, it wasn't fresh. I've seen pre-40's RC's through cambridge drilling. I hope there isn't as much boost in RC like you said, but I'm just worried that I'm always rushing in my last passage (usually with like 6-7 minutes left or smth).Otunga wrote:esther0123 wrote:omg 180! Bleh, but I take this score with a grain of salt. Retaking PT's have generally resulted in score inflation but there were a few tests where I either DECREASED (omg that was a sad day) or stayed the same or only increased by a point or two.
Good luck everyone on saturday!!

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Just took PT 68.
Is it just me or was reading comp really really hard? I usually tend to do fairly ok. But I bombed the section!
If it was not for this section my score would have been good.
