Does anybody have cool post test Summer plans?

Harvard Summer School in Venice for me, June to August "work hard play hard".
And with the Master starting in September, not very much holiday for the third year in a row !

The Boston/Cambridge area is so cool! Especially during the summer. It does sound like a lot of work, but there are worse places to be grinding out a summer.

Actually it will be held in Venice (ITA): it's a study abroad period for Harvard guys and faculty, and a good opportunity for some Italian student!

Sometimes, this test just destroys me. Took PT 77 yesterday and after a 5-PT average of 172, I ended up with a 165. I have no idea what happened. I'm probably overworked and burned out, so I'm going to take a few days off and then review it, but it's so damn frustrating. Have never felt this way about a test before.

I bombed my last test too (164). And you're right, it's super frustrating to study for a test for so damn long and still be able to mess up. Anxiety starts to set in, because even though we've been getting 170+, obviously we're also capable of totally screwing up. If I end up bombing in June I'm going to be soooooo pissed.

Studying related question .. when you stack up a difficult group of questions you know you struggle with, what is your strategy? Do you do them timed? If so, what sort of timing do you give yourself? If they are the hardest questions of the hardest types, you would obviously allocate longer than average on a real timed PT. If you don't time, do you basically just handle them similar to BR? Do it untimed, write all explanations out, do whatever is within your power to figure it out? I haven't gotten this far yet so I'd like to know how to handle these before I do get there

u should be doing them un-timed as if you were blind reviewing them so you can figure things out 100%, especially if it's a Q type you struggle with

You really put into words how I'm feeling. I have to say here's to hoping we do well, but it's unfortunate, because we've been working too hard to just hope for it.

Surprised a group of people this past weekend when I said that law school isn't that special or super hard to get into, and that it's not a good investment in most cases. I guess "law school = good and smart" is still a general opinion of it, and probably useful if you're trying to impress a girl's parents.

Don't let one test get you down. Your average was your average for a reason. I'm willing to bet that when you review it, it'll have quite a few mistakes you wouldn't normally make.

I took PT 62 on Sunday Morning.

Score: 171

RC: 23/27 -4
LR1: 21/26 -5
LG: 22/23 -1
LR2: 23/26 -3

According to 7Sage after taking 4 PTs, my average LSAT score is a 170. I hope I score a 170 when I take the test in June. Starting tomorrow, I will begin taking 5-section Pt's. Hopefully I get to score even higher haha. I am taking 2 PT's a week until June LSAT.

I usually get 0 in LG but this PT's LG section was tough!

I do pretty ok with LR and RC.

How should I drill in between PTs. I probably will drill LR Flaws, Psuedosufficient Ass, and Necessary Ass. since that the type that I frequently miss more.

Not really sure how to study for RC. I will probably drill passages too in the days between PTs.

I agree, my intent is to do them untimed, although I want to keep a reasonable pace in mind. Each page also has 1-2 other, non-PR questions that I plan to do. This should help me keep up on other Q types, while still hitting PR every 3rd question or so.

Taking PT 57 today. First full, timed PT since I re-booted my studying last month (168 in Dec 16 was the last I had done anything).

Crushed three sections b2b2b from PT 41 yesterday (LR1 -1, LG -1, LR2 -0). Let's see if my studying has paid off!

Lol I spent 5 minutes last night ranting to my girlfriend about something similar. How missed questions feel like a slap in the face. She's supportive and says stuff like "yeah I'd never be able to do it, its too hard," but I know she just wants me to shut up.

Congrats! That's an excellent score. Keep it up. BTW did you notice any fatigue in the 2nd half of the test? I only ask bc that's where you missed your Q's. Maybe something to keep in mind.

Congrats! That's an excellent score. Keep it up. BTW did you notice any fatigue in the 2nd half of the test? I only ask bc that's where you missed your Q's. Maybe something to keep in mind.

Definitely noticed fatigue on the RC. For me, LG first is the worst possible scenario because it's my 'easy'/'automatic' section (engineer) So I'd rather have it to break up the others and give me a little mental rest. That being said, the dinosaurs game was hard as hell. Having three reading intensive sections b2b2b was rough. Missed two questions on the 'arts' passage. Makes sense b/c I had a hard time focusing on it because it wasn't even remotely interesting to me.

Also noticed myself get a little bit distracted in the RC portion by the music and conversation going on around me. I'm doing most of my prep in loud coffee shops - and distinctly remember getting distracted by a guy talking very loud on the phone right next to me early in LR2 and doing the second RC passage.

I think this being the first full timed PT I've done in 5 months and the fact that I worked an 8 hour day at a mentally strenuous engineering job both added to the fatigue. Planning to continue my practice under the adverse conditions. Will probably graduate to 5 and 6 section PTs under sub-optimal conditions so that test day is a breeze.

Most exciting thing is that I finished both LR sections under the time limit with only 2 questions that I felt like I had to rush my answer on - in the past I've had 4-5 per section where I haven't felt great about my answer. I think that is pretty indicative that I've learned how to tackle a number of problems that I used to struggle on.
