need to research more. i'm not really sure yet. I guess my answer would be subjective, esp to people here ; )

Your alternative option sounds like an awesome plan though. I feel ya on that debt-free life; finished UG & Grad debt-free. If I can do that for LS, it would freaking awesome. Have you narrowed down the schools you are applying to?

yea no joke that's the plan if this doesn't work out. but I'm almost sure I can make this work. my boss at a firm I was working at last year was late 30s not married and was still paying off his debt. so even having no kids / no wife and still paying debt off by almost 40 opened my eyes to that. he said try to borrow as little as possible. so that's my goal.

as for schools I was thinking U san diego (since it is close), nevada, arizona, hawaii, colorado. I must start looking up some more options. don't want to stray too far from CA.... would enjoy driving home every now and then. not a big fan of flying. which schools you looking at?

According to LSN, you might be able to get some money at UCLA/USC if you pull off a 165 (depending on what your gpa looks like). If you get 168+ though, it looks like some people have gotten 70-90K there + chance at some money at WUSTL, Georgetown, etc. I say aim for 170+ because I believe you can do it

ETA- yeah, there might be some stipulations though

USC or UCLA would be a dream! I might have to wait until next cycle if I was shooting for those lol

as for my GPA..... it's kind of crappy. 3.3 was my calculated LSAC GPA when I did it myself. I had a 3.4. had I known I wanted to do this from the beginning, I would have spent more time studying than having my head in the sand at the beach. hindsight 20/20. that said my LSAT will probably have to be much higher than the median at whatever school I decide to apply to.


on the bright side of things, I just ran 2 miles and thought I was going to croak. lesson learned, don't slack off on anything. including studying, or running in my case.

yeah, but now I actully look forward to studying after work! 2-3 hours a night on the weekdays (unless doing a PT on one of those days) with 1 day off, PT on Saturday and BR on Sunday. I probably get 15-20 hours a week and I went from a 139 diagnostic to a 153 this past weekend. That took me 2 months, so hopefully by december im hitting that 161+. You got to want it bro!

Hey folks another December-taker here who postponed Sept.

I'm starting to get really worried because I have still yet to break 160s mark. I am doing marginally better in LR (20s) in each section but my LG still hasn't increased and is varied, as well as my RC.

I've been drilling "weaken" LR for a day or so and just don't feel like it's doing much for me/not very motivating. Should I be doing a mix of practice every day? As in some LG some LR some RC?

I feel very motivated when I take PTs so maybe I should be taking a PT every other day or so?

Really trying to get into the 165~ range. (GPA 3.65)
