I'm starting to think I could ask some of these schools for a salary while I attended there on top of the tuition and book scholarships! hahaTheMikey wrote:Anyone who took the June LSAT getting an overwhelming number of emails from a bunch of unknown law schools telling you that you'd be a great candidate to start this Fall? Thanks man! I appreciate your encouragement along the way. I remember joining this thread last month and being so bad a games...Now they are probably my favorite section because I know I can go -0 by test day!TheMikey wrote:Nice man! Everyone was so right when they said just keep drilling, drilling, drilling. I admit I got lucky because the games were sort of easy and only had one grouping game where I missed 4 questions, but still, improvement is feeling good!
7Sage is awesome! I really like just seeing how J.Y. tackles everything. I watched about 3 hours of it so far, and going to watch about 3 more hours tonight. I wish I started with it from the beginning. I love it because I can just easily go back and re-watch a video without having to read. I hate re-reading things and would much rather re-watch lessons. I also really enjoy being able to watch lessons at work!

That sounds so not worth it. I have a friend who just finished up CLS, and he says he regrets not getting closer to his classmates. He had his own place but only went out with the UG crew.Justice4Birdperson wrote:If I were to attend NYJew (I'm allowed to say that because I'm part of the glorious overrepresented minority itself) or Columbia I could fulfill my destiny of living in my parents' basement in my late 20s. Especially at a school like NYU or CLS, there's a very good chance that several of your fellow associates will be from your law school.

Thanks Protein! You were one of the first who gave me some good LSAT tips. I'm finding The LSAT Trainer's 12 Week Study Schedule, combined with Manhattan LSAT books, drilling Cambridge, and 7Sage are all working well for me. I wake up, read for the day, drill (mixed and single Q type) and then watch some 7Sage.

How are you liking 7Sage? I want to get my money's worth, so I'm avoiding skipping anything, but a lot of the videos in the beginning are so boring because I already know that stuff. I'm going to watch anyway to make sure I understand later videos that might reference those lessons.

No prob! I like it, he's very in depth with things so that's good. Sometimes it get annoying when he goes TOO in depth with some things, but that may be just because I know most of my shii already. I sucked so much at parallel flaw questions before and now I'm actually getting them all correct, which is a complete game changer for me because I used to luck out with these and never really learned them that well. Parallel reasoning is the same, I'm basically just using conditional logic for both, but if the PF question seems easy to solve without conditional logic, then obviously I don't use it. But from what he has taught me, even if you can't spot the flaw in a PF question, you can usually get the answer using conditional logic to match the A/C and stimulus. Also, his method of working out disagree/agree questions is actually really interesting. He does like this chart thing, and it doesn't take up as much time as you would think (at least for me), but you will see what I mean when you reach those lessons.Barack O'Drama wrote:Thanks Mikey!

Going through Manhattan LSAT LR earlier chapters. Just seeing what they say on argument cores and structures. It all sounds, reads, and feels familiar which is good. I feel like one problem I have with Testmasters is that it seems to very much throw you in it. I can see the benefit for someone with limited time, but I have more time and I really want to understand it all so that I can crush it.
I look at it this way. I should have gotten 60/60 on those MP and MC questions rather than 55/60, and I can't, as easily, parse out why what I thought is wrong. I can easily *work* my way to the conclusion. I suppose 55/60 isn't bad for the first set of 60 questions on this topic, but I just view it as so foundational that I really want it locked up before I move forward.

Maybe the ones that you got wrong, you were just mindlessly reading the stimulus? Did you do them all at once or spread out?34iplaw wrote:Going through Manhattan LSAT LR earlier chapters. I did 2x 10 last night. 4x10 today. Typically, I do 10 and then check answers and read/watch the explanations prior to doing the next set. I'm going to go over the five I missed after I read just a little more of this [get the right answers out of my head].TheMikey wrote:Maybe the ones that you got wrong, you were just mindlessly reading the stimulus? I'll post the ones it was when I go through them. I think only one I got wrong was a surprise. The other four I knew that I wasn't absolutely sure between the remaining two choices.

It took me 3 weeks to get ordering games down this well, so maybe in another 3 weeks I will be able to feel as confident about grouping.

Nice. I'm just starting to get comfortable with sequencing games. Hopefully by the end of the month I'll have LG down like you.Barack O'Drama wrote:Doubting Law wrote:That's awesome! I need to prep more. I did like 3 hours today, but soon I have to start job training, so my time is going to be much more limited.

Absolutely you will! I just did about 4 new games a day and 4 repeats. I just kept drilling and drilling and using 7Sage to review the answers/techniques. Slowly, but surely it came.Doubting Law wrote:Nice. I'm just starting to get comfortable with sequencing games. I will say that it was not really incremental improvement for me. It really all of the sudden clicked one day after taking a 4 day break from games. I still have a long way to go on grouping games and the miscellaneous ones. I'm hoping to have those down by months end as well.

K. Just as I thought I was getting good at parallel reasoning, this question with a tiny looking stimulus comes along (ranked 5 difficulty by 7sage) and just makes me feel like I'm an idiot. K.

You are definitely getting good at them. Don't feel like an idiot just because one question gave you a little trouble. After all, if was ranked 5/5, so it was no joke!TheMikey wrote:K. Even J.Y said that this question was very troubling for MANY people because you get down to 2 answer choices that are the EXACT same structure as the stimulus. The only thing differentiating the right answer from the other answer that seemed 100% right was something that I would never catch on the real thing. So let's hope for the best I guess, lol.Barack O'Drama wrote:You are definitely getting good at them. Don't feel like an idiot just because one question gave you a little trouble. Yeah, usually when J.Y. says something is hard, it is. And, I absolutely hate questions like that!
