Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
I had minor timing issues on RC, but I don't necessarily think that the questions were more difficult than usual. I felt more rushed than usual though and didn't get to check over my work as extensively as I had hoped. Same with LR1

RC (exp) - LR - LG - RC - LR
The experimental RC had the toughest comparative passage I've ever done imo. Judges was tough but the first one (not sure I'l allowed to post experimental topics?) was bananas. LG easy enough, although brain fog slowed me down.

You can give the topics (used cars) but please don't describe the kind of game or passage (assumption/comparative/whatever etc.). Thanks. (For the record, this is based on TLS's understanding of what LSAC does and doesn't allow people to discuss, though I know it doesn't always seem logical.)

No, unfortunately
Just my thoughts:
RC -- medium
LR (25) -- hard
LR (26) -- medium
LG -- easy

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
I had a single RC section as my 5th section. The first 2 passages were okay but I took too long on the first passage. Then when that 3rd passage (judges candor), showed up I hated all of it. I didn't like any of the AC and sunk allllll my remaining time into it. I didn't even try to read the last passage, just did the fee questions on specific line and word references then penciled in guesses. I'm gonna guess I got the same score as June.
I had 3 RC, the 1st one seemed very difficult (25Q). The other two not so bad.
LG seemed fine to me, but one question tripped me off. I would guess that folks will worse on this LG than they are expecting.

Did anyone that took the test today also take the June test? If so, how did it compare? Curious because I took June but ended up withdrawing from September. RC fucked me up in June and my main reason for withdrawing was to sort of "fool-proof" all of the RC passages.

Someone tell me to delete this if it's going too much into specifics, but I thought the LG was really interesting. I wrote less down than I normally would and finished with time, but I'm a little worried the open-endedness of it might have tripped me up.

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
Yikes.
RC smacked me around - must have spent too long on judges because I left half of them blank and moved onto the last passage once 5 minutes was called. Thank god that was an easy read but I'm sure I missed one or two just on account of having to finish the questions in 3 minutes.
LG was definitely the easier of the two for those saying they had an experimental. first two were so easy that I sped through them assuming there was a hellish one at the end. That never came.
had a very easy and a moderately hard 25Q LR - hoping the easy one was real, but it's not looking that way. The 26Q LR wasn't bad but definitely not as easy as one of my other two

Omg, the same order, and exactly the same reactions to everything. Judges was brutal. I read the last one super quickly, did the line questions, and just barely scanned the rest and chose what i thought sounded good.saf18hornet wrote:I had a single RC section as my 5th section. That first LR was awful, agreed. Hoping it's experimental.

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
So now that I have a pretty good understanding of what the real sections were:
First real LR: Feel good about this. Pretty sure I did no worse than -3 to -4. Finished with two minutes to spare.
LG: 0 Most likely scenario by far. Anything more than -2 would shock me. I never finished a LG section with 10 minutes left before. Wowzers
Second real LR (3rd LR overall): I don't know what to think about this one. Fatigue set in and I could feel myself not being able to think as clearly as usual. Furthermore I distinctly remember my mind going blank on the questions in the mid teens. Nevertheless, I recovered a bit and finished on time and never had to take a pure guess on any of the questions.
RC: Didn't seem super hard. I removed targeted RC drilling from my preparation in the weeks before the test. I feel as if this was a big mistake.
So I find myself in the situation of being extremely confident on the first sections and having no idea how I did on the later two. Subsequently a score of anywhere between 160-172 wouldn't shock me.

For those that had 2 26LR sections, which questions did you have? I remember broccoli being on one? Sorry if that's too specific.

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
There were def several tough LR questions in each section, I had three sections of LR and found them all pretty equal (unlike what I'm hearing about the difficulty difference in LG sections for those who had it as an experimental).
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
