2. There's a check-in person insofar as someone has a list with your name on it and they look at your ID. That's likely as formal as it'll get. I wouldn't check with them, because if they tell you no (because they are the ultimate arbiters of what you can or can't do, and they have sole discretion) then you're SOL.

In all likelihood you'll meet in a building and be led to a classroom/auditorium where you take the test. They'll tell you the last chance you have to go to the bathroom, and do it then. If you do it when you're leaving your car, you'll be waiting for at least 1-2 hours before you actually start on your first question.
Took the LSAT twice, never had the experience of there being "too many people" for the check in desk and proctors to check your material for contraband. At the check in desk they'll 100% match your name/id/photo/ticket to the file, and if you have any questionable materials that is the time to ask because there's still time to not bring it in to the testing center.

Both times I took it (at different testing centers), I was in a standard sized classroom, with two proctors for no more than 30 people. Before the tests were handed out we had to put our plastic bags on our desk and proctors checked each one (just glancing, not digging through, but there's not much space to hide anything in a clear gallon bag.)

OP: just take it before you enter, you'll be fine, especially if you've been fine just taking one pill when PT-ing. I'm not risk-averse, or saying you would necessarily get in trouble, and you'd 99.9% be fine just having it in your pocket and taking it with water at the last call for bathroom/water before the tests are handed out, but it's a dumb rule, and there's no reason to risk ruining your whole test day if a proctor/dickhead fellow test taker in the hallway sees you take something out of your pocket and swallow it over 45 minutes.

Don't stress, you'll be fine, and the test really isn't a big deal.

Yep. I think you need to take a chill pill rather than a caffeine pill!

Sorry, couldn't resist. Heh. But seriously you are getting a bit too worried about all of this. Deep breaths

According to pretzeltime. Have you taken the GRE where they check your pockets?
But I don't want anyone to see me dry swallow it.

Your whole account has to be flame. Seriously. Mods please ban this dude. Shitting up these fora.
1. Yes; for the GRE I had even had to go through a metal detector.

2. Hey man, I get it, I'm being over-anxious, but you're also insensitive. You've trolled me in multiple threads; if anyone is to be banned, you should since you offer little, if any, accurate advice. It seems all you want to do is antagonize.

Thank you for your advice; this will be my course of action. It just isn't worth having my test thrown out for some BS.

Yeah I am just joshing with you. I get why it's all anxiety-provoking. Personally I feel a lot less anxiety about these things this time around since it's my second take.

Anyway, sounds like you have a plan and you'll be fine.

Good luck in the legal world if you're sensitive about what people say on the internet. And the bolded is just laughable. In this thread you've been given multiple alternatives to your neurotic assumptions, a couple by me...thanks, though. Good luck with the LSAT. Hope you don't have an anxiety attack walking in the door.

Sorry for earlier; I was being irrational.

As you and others have said, it's not that big of a deal, but it will become one if I make it one.

It sounds like the LSAT doesn't check your pockets, so I could bring a caffeine pill in and take it in the bathroom. And if I feel uncomfortable doing that, I can take it in the car and probably be a-okay.

Fucking LOL
My testing center wasn't that strict. I doubt most others are, but just pop it the second before you check in and you'll be good.

Kinda confused. I saw several posts from people who said that they stopped drinking coffee a month before the test so they can get off caffeine. Then you post about taking caffeine pills before the test. Do they help? I'd order some if people have found them beneficial.

It's caffeine. How you take it and how much you take it is entirely personal. There is not a manual on caffeine intake on test day. Do what works for you.

Caffeine pills are just caffeine in a precise amount. As in, the same shit that is in coffee and energy drinks and tea and soda to varying degrees.

How are you unable to sneak taking a pill? It's like the easiest thing in the world. Put it in your pocket, take it out when you sit down, cough and put it in your mouth, take a sip of water. Make sure the protector is not looking directly at you when you put the pill in your mouth. This isn't rocket science.

Caffeine pills are fine. I took one right before the test and on break. The proctor isn't goimg to ask for a list of prescriptions for medications your bring in. I have crohns disease and it looked like I brought a pharmacy with me.

The only way to stop is to eat BOTH a complete cup of Cinna Bitz from Wetzel's and then immediately afterwards eat a bag of the equivalent from Auntie Anne's.

Can you eat those during the LSAT ? Also, anyone snort coke during the exam? Wonder if it would help keep me alert .
