I played right down the middle on this one. The courses were pretty expensive, so I did the "Blueprint Movie" which basically is an online version of their course. With a basic outline of how and what to study, I was able to dramatically improve my score (and nailed a few perfect timed practice tests). I am pretty sure that other prep companies offer a "self-study" version of their courses.
I would also get as many PTs as you can get your hands on and time yourself. I would spend each morning doing a PT, take a lunch break, and then meticulously go through each question. (Of course, I was unemployed when studying which left me with an abundance of time on my hands).
