Bump. Taking in December.
A high LSAT score would be the best Christmas gift.
Let's do this!

Anybody tried to follow it? Looks nice.
Quite nice, indeed, but I'm already doing my own thing; adopting a new method at this point would be counter-intuitive.
Does anyone have a recommendation for how to attack RC? It's the only thing that worries me, and I'm usually a man without fear.

Officially checking in! I was considering retaking in September, but I need the extra time to study. Last time I used the Trainer + Preptests and didn't score as high as I wanted. I don't think I was as serious about studying as I should have been. This time I plan on signing up for one of the 7sage courses. Good luck to all!

I'm pretty much one month in after reading the Bibles and drilling games, which are harder than I imagined.
On average, I get -1 per game since there's always that one question that either stumps you or takes too long.
Gonna work on LG some more before moving back to drilling LR and beginning to attack RC.
I'll take a diagnostic at the end of the month. Good luck to all.

Going to throw my hat into the ring for December. I've read the LG and LR Bibles and am now working through 7Sage and the LSAT Trainer simultaneously, while also juggling school and other commitments. I've been trying to hit about 15 to 20 hours of studying a week, though we'll see if that's sustainable. I'm shooting for a 175 or higher, though time will tell if that's even remotely realistic.

In for December. Got 166 on the June test on my first take (155 diagnostic). 168 was my average, with a few scores in the 170s, and a high of 177. Got absolutely annihilated by RC (-11), and got 9 of the last 10 questions wrong in that section. Was averaging about -5 in practice.

Probably not going to go hard until October though since I've got a bunch of stuff to do until then.

Yeah... :(

Have you started yet?
I'm taking the diagnostic tomorrow and planning to do the most recent PTs
on my final days of study in succession to get a good look at my designated score.
As for the rest, I'll probably start from PT 40 or 50, using the old ones as supplemented sections.

LR is the real devil for me right now. The questions in the Bible don't seem to faze me,
but the ones on the Official LSAT SuperPrep tests are killer; I just wanna get through LR, then RC.
156 days seem way too short... RIP, our social lives.

Would love to see where I am with the diagnostic,
but feel as though a low score, which is highly likely, would crush my confidence.

So I'm thinking about postponing it for at least another day instead.
Gonna go over a second time PrepTest A's LR sections;
went through the explanations and feel as if I understand it more.
Got -12 and -10 for a total of 28 out of 50, so I'm aiming to improve it tomorrow.
Then, I'll probably either go straight for the diagnostic or attempt RC.

Decisions, decisions.

Yeah, I figured as much. No idea how anyone can get 160s the first try with limited background knowledge.
Anyway, got through PrepTest A's first LR section again. Went from -12 to -6.
Remembering the answers might have contributed to the improvement,
but this time, I actually articulated why each other choice is incorrect instead of simply crossing stuff out;
definitely feel a lot less burdened than I was two days ago. Baby steps.

Second section. -10 to -7. Overall, harder than the first, methinks.
Logged about six hours... Done for the day. Onto PrepTest B tomorrow.

Just wondering how many people here are planning to apply in January after the results come back?

I am signed up to take in September, but with my lofty goal of a 170+, I have already accepted that December is probably going to give me a way better chance. The problem is that I'm worried applying in January may be too late? Right now I am practice testing in the mid 150s... So I have a long way to go, which makes December seem more and more like a possibility every day. I am still going to sit for September and do my best! Probably won't retake if I can get a high 160s, though.

Can anyone give me some info on how to apply later? I know you can send your app in and tell them to hold it until December scores are in. How do you notify them to do so? Via email or is there a place on the app to indicate?

If it matters, my stats are:

AA Male ~3.85 LSAC GPA
State school, good softs, but nothing amazing... (summa cum laude, phi beta kappa, gov't internships, some UG awards)

Thanks in advance guys :D

Don't waste that beautiful GPA. You got it made, you'll get a boost I think based on AA. Don't get complacent though, aim for perfect, pretend you don't have that boost.

Absolutely not going to waste it!!!!! I am aiming for a 170, but I am confident I can snag H with a high 168-169. So If I net that score I am not going to retake. But, I have been feeling kind of like my prep is going too slow to get there by September. However, I am going to try like hell. I am also not opposed to sitting out another cycle. The thing is I'd like to avoid doing so due to personal reasons. But if I can't get the score I need by December, it will have to wait until next year.

So I'm officially in for December! Signed up and ready to go!

What is everyone using for prep materials?

I'm using:

Manhattan LSAT Trilogy
The LSAT Trainer
7Sage Starter Course
Powerscore LGB/LRB
Cambridge Drill By Type Packets
LSATs 1-76 (Probably going to save a few of the recent in case I need to retake)

I've sort of decided to start fresh and re-learn the fundamentals 100%. Last time around, when I had planned to take in September, I rushed through the Bibles and the Trainer. In hindsight I think it hurt me pretty bad. I rushed to get to drilling and practice testing without fully mastering the strategies needed for each question type. So this time I am going through the 7Sage curriculum while simultaneously using The LSAT Trainer + 12 Week Study Schedule. Then I am going to re-read through the Bibles, do a round of drilling. (Should take about 2 weeks) Then read the Manhattan books and do a second round of drilling to really hone in on weaknesses.

After this, I am going to be doing full-timed PTs w/ BR a couple times a week as well as drilling timed sections. I think last time around I neglected mixed review and focused too much on single Q types. I'd like to be at this step by October.

My goal is a 172. My diagnostic was a ~151. I missed about 9-10 questions on every section, give or take. A lot of that was due to timing issues. The good news is since that test my logic games are down to -6 consistently with some being better and some being worse. I haven't learned grouping games correctly, so usually my missed points are with grouping/assignment games. I try to drill 4 games a day and will continue to do that while I go through the 7Sage curriculum. I'm hoping by the time I'm done with it, I can be down to -2 or better.
